Canon S1IS telephoto lens: reviews?11 Apr 2005 09:20 GMT2
I just purchased the Canon S1IS.  Although I find a few quirks and am
disappointed that the power supply has to be purchased separately, I am
wondering whether or not the 1.6x telephoto lens is worth the cost?  Are
there any reviews of the camera with this lens?  My goal is to ...
Panasonic  FZ5 Noise Report11 Apr 2005 08:28 GMT1
This is part of what www.digitalcamerainfo.com actually said that
alarmed me. If you need smaller aperture and a hand holdable shutter
speed you have little choice than to shoot at ISO400. And look at what
they say:
Looking for Input11 Apr 2005 07:20 GMT3
Good Day All:
I am looking at giving my niece a digital camera for high school graduation.
I have pretty much figured out it will be approximately a 3 MP.  I am
looking at the following cameras, and am looking for input on them or others
The lowdown on iPIX11 Apr 2005 07:03 GMT21
iPIX no longer offers its software that uses a $25 "Key" to produce
each Full 360x360 Image. Although they still support it and sell Keys.
The Keys for their Real Estate Wizard, a lower level product, are only
$20 for 5 keys.

best camera for the job?11 Apr 2005 05:35 GMT12
As I just mentioned in a prior post, I recently purchased the Canon S1IS.  I
have 30 days to evaluate the camera and to determine whether or not I'm
going to keep it.  I'm not sure that this camera is quite up to the task I
had in mind.  I want to photograph wildlife from a distance ...

Turning a drawing into a logo11 Apr 2005 03:27 GMT3
Ok, I hope this is the right place to ask this..
Im currently producing hip hop for a band called 'phoenix quarter'. Now,
they need a logo. We have a drawing which is ideal, we especially find the
circular element of the drawing appealing. We'd like to turn this into a
Question about lossless formats11 Apr 2005 03:11 GMT9
If I start with a picture  and save to a lossless format (say TIFF), then
save the TIFF to another lossless format, say PSD, then save to another (say
JPEG 2000) etc, etc.  Then I resave back to TIFF at the end (I've made no
alterations or modifications).   Is the final file ...

Quick and compact- A95?11 Apr 2005 02:41 GMT2
I am looking for a compact digital camera for under $300USD (or a few
dollars more, but it will be cutting into my spare cash for a 1gb
card). I would like it to be quick in the sense that it won't take more
than a second or two too turn on, but most importantly, the shot to
Things I love about men11 Apr 2005 02:37 GMT7
I like men. There's no need to hide that admiration with false
understatement or bloated and insincere hyperbole. What I feel is just
that simple: I like men. I always have. Not boys, mind you -- although
there were quite a few of those along the way -- but men.
Who makes better camera bags?11 Apr 2005 02:32 GMT4
I need a small camera bag for my Canon A75.  I don't need anything fancy at
all.  It's between Roots or Lowepro.  Any comments?

Lumix DMC-FZ5 ordered11 Apr 2005 02:12 GMT1
The old Olympus C-2000Z let us down again at a party last night.  Sad, as
this has been a very good camera for recording events.  I'll post back in a
week or so and let you know what I think about the Panasonic.  This will be
our "family camera" as I use a 20D for serious amateur ...
