| Repairing a canon wireless remote (WL-DC100) | 29 Apr 2005 22:41 GMT | 2 |
Anyone had a go at repairing a Canon WL-DC100 Wireless Remote that comes with a Powershot G5 (and many other models, for that matter)? Mine died not long ago, but I just called Canon - since the camera was purchased in the UK, they won't honour the warranty here in Australia (and it

| Nikon does a dumb thing | 29 Apr 2005 21:53 GMT | 49 |
Nikon are using weak encryption on part of the raw file (the white balance) in their D2X: http://photoshopnews.com/?p=226 The apparent rationale for this is that it potentially makes 3rd party raw

| Another Kodak DX 4900 Battery prob/? | 29 Apr 2005 20:00 GMT | 8 |
I bought a DX4900 about 2 years ago. It seems to be a pretty good camera. I originally bought the wall charger for the KAA2HR rechargable battery, but if I put the batteries in the charger and forgot about them they would charge, then eventually (I'm talking hours) the batteries ...

| Choice of a better camera | 29 Apr 2005 18:35 GMT | 11 |
Currently own a Traveler (from Aldi stores) 6 mpx digital camera. It cost £180. Its compact and takes reasonable pictures but skies have a tinge of off 'rainbow effect' colours round clouds and the detail and sharpness I'm sure could be a lot better for 6 mpx. The lens when extended ...

| Card reader advice pleae | 29 Apr 2005 14:33 GMT | 6 |
Wanting to put an internal card reader in my PC. Months ago, I looked at some at a Fry's and was confused as to how it would connect to the motherboard. It seemed there were many different connections to make and I wasn't up to the challenge. I noticed from reading some posts ...

| Image quality of 350D ? | 29 Apr 2005 13:56 GMT | 2 |
In last weeks AP (UK) review of the 350D they say the most bothersome issue is the softness of the image, which is better than the 'processing-infested' 300D but not better than the clarity of the 10D. What do users of 10D and 350D think ?. I haven't seen these comments in

| Canon i9950 printer, what happened to it? | 29 Apr 2005 12:49 GMT | 6 |
What happened to my i9950? I have done a number of prints with a fine art matte paper called Museum Classic 310g (Perma Jet). Now the prints are losing a lot of detail, some parts of the picture looks like blotting paper, clearly the ink is spreading out of control, there is a lot ...

| The future of ultra-compact cameras | 29 Apr 2005 09:23 GMT | 64 |
After many days of surfing and researching until my eyes and neck hurts, I've finally decided on the Sony SD200. What I'm looking for was a digicam that I could take with me everyday like I would with my cellphone. It's my first digicam. I'm just disappointed at what's out

| Can you diagnose this problem? | 29 Apr 2005 07:22 GMT | 9 |
I've posted this on the forums at dpreview as well, but have not gotten much in the way of responses. I've also sent an example to Olympus' tech support, but have not heard back. I have an older camera (Oly C3040Z). Recently, I started noticing a small

| How to REALLY delete images in Nikon PictureProject. | 29 Apr 2005 05:36 GMT | 4 |
How can I REALLY delete images in Nikon PictureProject? PictureProjects Folders and Collections don't really contain the file, just a pointer to it, and the PictureProject delete function just removes the pointer, not the file.

| Sony digital camera opinions? | 29 Apr 2005 05:26 GMT | 194 |
I've been looking at a couple of Sony cameras which I quite like- newer ones that came out not long ago. They use AA batteries and one comes with a charger for AA batteries, but they told me in the store, you can use any any kind of AA chargeables. The memory stick is proprietary to
