D70 vs D70s?15 Apr 2005 06:35 GMT50
Has anyone looked at the D70s instructions closely yet?  Should I buy
a D70 now, or hold out for the upgrade?  I know about the slightly
larger LCD and it's not that big a deal for me.  The remote release
socket matters more since I'd like to be able to run the camera from a

I would like to show you my last update with

linear or circular?15 Apr 2005 05:56 GMT9
A linear is cheaper and doesn't loose quite as much contrast and
sharpness than a circular. Hopefully experiences here with an fz10(15 or
20)with a linear filter can prove that a linear will work, or do I need
to use a circular because of the auto focus issue?  Thanks.
Canon viewfinder magnifier hunt15 Apr 2005 05:41 GMT6
I am looking for a viewfinder magnifier to aid manual focus on my Canon
300D. I measured the viewfinder on my 300D and its ~23mm wide. Then I
measured a friend's Pentax MZ-50's viewfinder and its also ~23mm wide.
So will the Pentax FB 2x magnifier fit the Canon 300D?
My name is Lionel and I am a lamer15 Apr 2005 05:38 GMT1
I need personal redemption from my lamer friends on usenet. My bugged
out eyes make me look like I'm taking a perpetual sh.t. Most of my
girlfriends have a sort of STD and some are men.
monitor profiling packages15 Apr 2005 05:22 GMT8
This site compares 10 monitor profiling packages, tested on seven
different monitors (CRT and LCD).  Interesting stuff if you're looking
for a new device (as I am) or wondering where your current solution
ranks.
Question re Dust in Sensor Issue15 Apr 2005 04:38 GMT23
I recently acquired a Digital Rebel as my first DSLR.  Having been made
aware of the dust-in-sensor problem, I consulted a friend who has a
Nikon D70.  He said that the best protective measure for dust is to
store the camera with the lens attached always and to keep
External Flash Question15 Apr 2005 03:26 GMT5
I have finally moved from film(Canon AE-1) to digital with a
new Canon A510. I would like to occasionally use an external
flash with this new camera and figure that I might have two choices:
1) Pay $100+ for the little Canon model HF-DC1 flash w/ wireless
Removing Red-Eye15 Apr 2005 02:12 GMT15
A friend has given me a CD with approx 100 pics on, all of which appear to
have red-eye.
I would like to correct them, but I am reluctant to do them all manually.
So far I have been using Photoshop 5.5 > circular lasso > Hue/Saturation to
D70 or D10015 Apr 2005 01:15 GMT21
From the specs of the Nikon D70 and D100 I gather that the both of them
are pretty much on par spec-wise. The D100 is considerably more expensive
though. Why would anyone choose a D100 over a D70 these days? This is not
a troll but a genuine question. I'm planning on buying one of ...

Gary Burnore has to sock up constantly because of his sex crimes15 Apr 2005 00:32 GMT1
Many AUK votes could be rendered invalid on this basis alone. However,
it is hot to tongue f.ck a 15 year old in jurisdictions with liberal
ages of consent.
BestChoiceDigital.com - Are These Guys Any Good???15 Apr 2005 00:27 GMT11
Does anyone know of, or had dealings with, an outfit called Best
Choice Digital? They have an awesome deal on a Nikon D70. I'm
wondering how many ways this could bite me in the butt. Thanks...dave

Another First Time Buyer Seeking Advice14 Apr 2005 22:54 GMT4
Ok, I've been looking at what's available in digital cameras for a few weeks
now and I'm still undecided.  The researching is getting a little old.  My
intended purpose for a new camera will be to explore a little photography,
but I am limited in funds and I would like my ...
Help14 Apr 2005 22:24 GMT2
I'm in the market for a digital camera that I can use to take pictures to
post on the internet (Ebay).  The key is inexpensive and easy to use.  I
have a couple of 35mm cameras that I have used for years to take snap shots.
They are both automatic so I don't have to know anything ...
