Latest rumors are that Minolta will release a 5D (this fall)
before a 9D (next spring).  Don't know if this info is correct
or not, but it appears that the 5D won't have antishake:

Nikon D70 - Do pictures require Photoshop fixing?15 Apr 2005 19:44 GMT25
I am about to take the leap to digital and have been looking at the
current range of post £1000/$1000 DLSRs and am opting for the D70.
However I have read in magasines that the pictures taken by the D70
very often need to have levels/contrast fixed in Photoshop.  Is this

R300 print match problem15 Apr 2005 18:55 GMT1
I have two r300 printers connected to my PC. All was well until I saw some
streaks appear on a print with allot of blue sky and went through the
cleaning and head alignment procedures as per the on screen maintenance
instructions. Since then, the printer that I attempted to "fix" ...
Panasonic Lumix FX7 any good?15 Apr 2005 18:46 GMT1
I'm shopping for an ultra-compact digicam.  Any of you have experience
with the Lumix FX7?  I like the Image stabilization feature.  Does
anyone know if there are any cameras in the $350 price range that has
this feature?  It seems this is the only one.
What happened to the FZ5?15 Apr 2005 18:07 GMT10
I've seen the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 for sale on a bunch of sites,
right when the camera came out in the US (10 April, I believe). Prices
were even dropping already - down to $429.00 on butterflyphoto.com.
Then, prices started going back up to the $499.99 price originally
Epson Ink Carts15 Apr 2005 17:47 GMT25
I think I am on my 6th Epson Photo printer.  Epson seems to get
greeder and greeder.  These carts are faily small and quite expensive
and even if you printing black it doesn't let you go any further
unless you have all carts ready to print.  I am really getting to

350d + faulty compactFlash15 Apr 2005 14:09 GMT3
Has anyone any experience of the new EOS 350d 'breaking' compactFlash
devices? The reason I ask this question is that since my new camera
arrived, I have experienced 2 failed compactFlash devices and want to
know if anyone else has had a similar problem?
Nikon Capture 4: Aspect Ratio Cropping?15 Apr 2005 10:48 GMT2
I'm a newbie that has used Photoshop CS's "aspect ratio" cropping and am
looking for the same feature in Nikon Capture 4 but can't seem to find it.
Would anyone know if Nikon Capture 4 has cropping by "aspect ratio?"  It's a
nice way to make sure that the cropped print looks just ...
Vibration Reduction on Zoom Lenses - A Worthwhile Upgrade?15 Apr 2005 08:15 GMT7
I'm considering a D-70. I am also considering the Nikkor 24-120mm Zoom
lens with VR. I have been told that VR is only needed on the longer
lenses (200mm and above) and that the kit lens (18-70mm) should be
able to provide very sharp photos because the camera shutter speed
The easiest way to build a simple photo website15 Apr 2005 08:12 GMT17
Which is the best and faster way to build a photo website? Is there a
software out there to do this easily? I tried FP, but I didn't like it. I
need
to upload several photo galleries, so I need a simple front page, with links
Dimage Scanspeed and Windows XL15 Apr 2005 08:02 GMT1
I have a problem, and I wonder if anyone has a recommendation on how to
proceed.  I have a Dimage Scanspeed film scanner that I really enjoy using,
however, it quit working when I installed the SCSI 2 card into a new
computer with Windows XL.
