OK, here's ANOTHER ugly topic... I recently spent some time at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. One of the things we discussed was digital workflow. AND when not doing real stuff we sometimes talked about HOW to organize images - both physically on the disk(s)

I'm about to go on a 6 week trip and i want to take alot of pictures. The olny poblem i have seem to run into is how to store this pics while on my trip. I'm not going to be taking my laptop along so i can't store them on a computer. Buying a lot of flash cards can get

Other than carrying a laptop computer, are there any options for moving images from Compact Flash to a CD while I'm traveling? If I take a lot of 5+megapixel shots I'll be out of CF storage. I can buy more CF but....I'd rather find something like a combo CF Reader + CD

B & H list 2 Epsons 7600, one is dye ink, the other ultra chrome, and the price is the same for both. Why would anybody buy a dye ink large format printer?

So far I purchased two 12:1 USB card readers to use with my Mac. Both readers clearly stated on the display cards, Mac OS X compatible but when I brought them home the software stated otherwise -not compatible with Mac. Has anyone bought a USB card reader that reads Smart Media

ISSUE: When we attach the factory-built telephoto lens to the camera (and we have purchased two telephoto lens) and have the same issue with them both. The camera leaves a circle around the image when shooting, capturing and viewing the image on the computer. This does not happen

I have been experimenting with settings in my Canon 350D. The camera offers sharpening with 5 settings. Setting 1 produces very soft images compared with setting 5 - which seems to produce very sharp images. What's the downside to sharpening in the camera? There must be one or the ...

I understand that uncalibrated CRT monitors has approximately the sRGB profile, that's why digital cameras all have sRGB profile as default. What happens after the monitor is calibrated using those spyder calibration device and the color profile loaded into windows? Does it now ...

I was travelling in India and downloading / backing up my Nikon's CF cards (a Sandisk Regular; Sandisk Ultra; a Lexar 12X) ... by means of a Microsolutions "RoadStore". It worked fine last year ... and it worked fine this year ... except for one time !

I put many photos out on the web. To make my files (large files, high resolution) fit the web better I normally use Photoshop's "Save for Web..." in order to change resolution and colour depth. This is time consuming if I need to do this with many photos.
