| color gamut conversion | 20 Apr 2005 11:38 GMT | 4 |
I'm interesting in the sequence of events of light which comes from an arbitrary scene, travels through a digital camera, and ends in a picture (e.g. bmp-file). Does anybody know some good references / Websites about this topic?

| High Speed Memory Card | 20 Apr 2005 11:22 GMT | 1 |
I'm thinking of purchasing a Nikon Coolpix 4600 and Lexar 256MB SD card. Would it make a difference to purchase the 32x high speed card? Will the camera recognize the high speed card? Opinions, please.

| Wife's Camera Choice HP Olympus Canon | 20 Apr 2005 09:28 GMT | 2 |
I bought my wife an HP R607 (4 megapixel, Pentax lens etc) for Christmas. After 4 months we have finally given up with it. The flash is underpowered and anything over 6 feet appears in darkness. The pictures it takes are grainy and low light photos are grey and disappointing. ...

| ipod photo and Photoshop | 20 Apr 2005 09:00 GMT | 7 |
I'm seriously considering getting an iPod Photo and have noticed that Photoshop Elements is the software that is recommended (required?) in order to view specific collections of photos stored on the device. I already own the full Photoshop software (about 2-3 years now) for my PC

| Photoshop: remove and reinstall? | 20 Apr 2005 08:37 GMT | 11 |
I've been using an evaluation copy of Elements 3.0, and it's now expired and I want to evaluate Nikon Capture. Should I remove Elements first (I don't like having its background processes running anyway, it buggers around with my camera download)?

| Canon a95 - Why Not Sharp Enough? | 20 Apr 2005 08:28 GMT | 9 |
I am new to digital photography. After much research, I determined that the Canon a95 (5MP) was the best camera for me in my price range. The main problem I am having is that the pictures aren't sharp enough, or at least they are not as sharp as I think they should be - even the "in ...

| Apacer Disk Steno CP100 - Lexar CF card incompatible? | 20 Apr 2005 08:14 GMT | 6 |
Just bought a used Apacer Disk Steno CP100 on eBay. I have been losing hair. Did the firmware upgrade. I have come to the conclusion that there may be a compatibility issue with the Lexar CF cards. My collection of cards include a Canon 32 meg CF card, two Sandisk 128 meg CF ...

For some reason, my server does not have the message which you addressed to me, or the responses to it. Probably a Supernews crosspost filter. I tried to send the following message to your despammed mailbox and got a 404 response.

| Oly 8080 $499 at Fry's today | 20 Apr 2005 05:57 GMT | 1 |
One-day sale, one per customer, $499 for the Olympus 8080 at Frys. Dang, I'd be there if only it had a higher ISO with low noise. Probably a 20D or 350XT in my future. But geez, $499 for that camera... makes you wonder what might be coming out soon?

| Canon A75 with stuck lens | 20 Apr 2005 02:27 GMT | 3 |
I was out in the pines this weekend and taking photos with my Canon Powershot A75. It's almost 1 year old. Anyway I turn it on and the lens gets stuck coming out. The camera after that just dies. Turning it on and off I hear a slight clicking sound but the lens will not move.

| Sony DSC-W5? | 20 Apr 2005 01:20 GMT | 7 |
Why do I never see this camera mentioned when talking about the best compact P&S camera's? Is the Cannon A-95 really that much better. I like that it only uses 2 AA batteries (included with charger) that are said to take up to 420 shots before charge. Large LCD, etc. On paper ...
