First bird photo24 Apr 2005 19:16 GMT40
My wife found a nest in our Holly tree in the back yard and I took a few
shots with my 20D, using a cheap 70-300 lens.  I almost always have to use
manual focus with this lens since the auto focus just doesn't cut it.  The
photos come out sharp though I like the shot of the ...

fuji finepix e55024 Apr 2005 14:48 GMT2
just bought this camera and also the picture cradle, which states that you
can only charge the nh-10 battery and not any other batteries that you may
use in the camera, anybody know why this is so. I would have thought that if
the camera was using two separate Ni-MH batteries ...
Fool questions24 Apr 2005 13:42 GMT20
Having recently acquired a Coolpix 995, and being new to photography, I have
some questions that I hope won't be too dumb.
At what shutter speed is a tripod a necessity? Do you always need a remote
lead? In other words, is it the pushing of the button that causes the shake?
PSE 3 Crop Tool; It's too quick.24 Apr 2005 13:07 GMT12
I just upgraded from PSE 2 to PSE 3. When I drag or open a photo and
want to set a crop, often the crop tool cursor is very quick as I get
near the border. It shoots off into the grey space and I need to
re-orient my photo every time. It is very annoying; what I am doing

comes even close, not even the fastest DLSRs. Note: this write speed is

Telephoto Lense For Canon 20D.  100-400, or 70-200?24 Apr 2005 05:45 GMT22
Hi group
I am looking for a telephoto lens for my Canon 20D.  I think a zoom lens
would suit me more than a prime lens, because of the flexibility.
Therefore, I was thinking maybe either the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM,
S2 IS -- Canon still misses the boat24 Apr 2005 04:57 GMT14
Today Canon finally announced the S2 IS, and it's mostly
bad news:
-- 1/2.5" sensor instead of 1/1.8"  = Image quality will likely
still be cruddy, similar to S1 IS.
Epson R1800 or 210024 Apr 2005 03:42 GMT2
Was considering the 2100 <2200 in US> then saw that the R1800 is coming out
<already out?> in the UK, so trying to decide between the two.I'm looking
for A3, maybe up to A3+ with archival inks for printing artwork and photos.
Been Googling and getting confused!
