| Canon i960 ink level | 30 Apr 2005 21:41 GMT | 3 |
My i960 has always told me when a cartridge was empty, even in the middle of a print job ("open printer and replace ink cartridge now"). The other day, instead of that message, I got the *four blinks* of the yellow light on the front of the printer, which means "out of ink."

| compact/subcompact digi recomendations | 30 Apr 2005 21:05 GMT | 4 |
Having made the move to digital without yet suffering physical, emotional, or spiritual damage, I'd like to add a pocket sized digital to my arsenal for those times when lugging my E-1 or even the OM-4 isn't an option. I'd prefer an Olympus for obvious reasons, but would consider ...

| Canon Standard Lenses | 30 Apr 2005 20:56 GMT | 6 |
I am thinking about a Canon DRXT or D20. I understand that the standard 50mm lens makes a great portrait lens and is eqv to 85mm in 35mm SLRs. Do these lenses work with all of the features of these cameras. What is the difference, other than speed, between the 1.8 and 1.4? Is

| Out of ink, then buy another printer | 30 Apr 2005 20:40 GMT | 40 |
I read somewhere that soon it would be cheaper to buy another printer rather than buy inkjet cartridges. Today I saw a printer selling for $74. I asked the sales person the total cost for the cartridges for the printer (it took a black and a

| Professional Digital Photo Proccesors | 30 Apr 2005 18:47 GMT | 9 |
I recently had some photos processed at K-Mart and these 4" x 6" borderless copies came back cropped. I know with borderless you are going to lose part of the picture but this was more than I thought it'd be. Does anyone do non-borderless photos? I can do these at home on my

| Is the printer good enough for the camera? | 30 Apr 2005 18:18 GMT | 29 |
I recently brought a Canon EOS 300D camera that takes good quality photos of 3072 x 2048 resolution. Do I need to buy a printer that can print at this resolution to avoid losing picture quality? Hoping for some guidance

| AMD vs Pentium 4 for Photoshop work. | 30 Apr 2005 16:02 GMT | 30 |
Slightly off topic, I know, but since this will be used in conjunction with my digital camera, I thought what the heck! :-) It is computer upgrade time at the Grumpy household and I am tossing up between a Pentium 4 640 3.2GHz system or an AMD 64 3200+ based system. 2 gig memory ...

| Nikon Coolpix 5400 Colour Balance | 30 Apr 2005 15:47 GMT | 4 |
I seem to have a problem with the colours that my Coolpix is generating. For example if I am photographing a deeply red (crimson) flower and compare what is shown on the coolpix LCD monitor with the actual flower, the two reds are drmatically different. The difference between a raw ...

| Canon 10-22mm Lens | 30 Apr 2005 14:22 GMT | 24 |
I have heard that the Canon 10-22mm lens is very good, although over-priced. Anyone have any feedback on using this lens? Is it a good lens despite the price?

| Canon 'L' Lenses V non 'L' Lenses | 30 Apr 2005 10:56 GMT | 5 |
I understand that the Canon 'L' lenses are optically very good. However, I can not see anything wrong with the non 'L' lenses (Normal USM). Is it that I don't have a trained eye? Or, is the difference more apparent when the photo's are blown up to large sizes?

| Canon 50mm 1.4 | 30 Apr 2005 10:29 GMT | 14 |
I am considering a Canon 50mm 1.4 prime lens for 'people' shots. This will be used on a 20D, so in reality it has a 35mm equivalent of 80mm, which I think is probably the right focal length for this kind of use. I have heard it is a good lens, but would like to hear from users 'in ...
