OS WinXP SP2 (XP does not require a driver) and it has been working for many months. My ZIO has stopped showing up in Explorer or My Computer yet when I plug and unplug I get the acknowledgment sound. It does appear in Device Manager and

| Does anybody have Power2000's URL or *any* contact info? | 29 Mar 2005 19:43 GMT | 1 |
Ok, I bought two BP-511 batteries for my 20D. I tried to use one yesterday for the first time...dead dead dead. It supposedly is taking a charge, but nothing when it's in the camera. The other works fine. I'll be damned if I can find the website...supposedly they have a

| Does anyone know the shutter lag for the Pentax *ist DS? | 29 Mar 2005 19:02 GMT | 6 |
I've searched the web for the shutter lag time in SECONDS for the *ist DS, with autofocus on, and can't find this info. Some places say there is no noticeable lag, some that the *ist is "slow"... but nobody has posted an actual delay time in seconds or

| Border and Signiture | 29 Mar 2005 18:43 GMT | 1 |
I've just read the "Signature" post and the "Photo editing software..." one. I usually use a paintbrush to stams my signiture logo onto my images, can photoshop have a batch process that just stamps a border and signiture onto each pic?

| What is a fair percentage markdown for used EOS amateur lenses? | 29 Mar 2005 18:12 GMT | 2 |
I thought I'd try to save some money on a lens I was looking for, by looking on craigslist.org for used ones. I expected to pay maybe 70-75% of the new price for a lens in excellent condition (about what B&H charges for used lenses, though I understand that B&H typically pays

| Electronic Flash Question for the Geeks | 29 Mar 2005 18:05 GMT | 1 |
There was a time when the 'flash' in electronic flash units was a glass tube filled with an inert gas. A high voltage was applied to the tube to create the flash. I recently bought a good quality (Nikon SB-800) flash and some things in the manual lead me to believe it is a different ...

| EF Lenses from UK or Overseas | 29 Mar 2005 17:35 GMT | 1 |
I'm looking to get a new lens for my Canon eos 10d. I'm looking to get something suitable for the odd Wedding or two as well as the usual portraits, pets and landscape stuff. Unfortunately, the lens thing is still pretty new to me and I'm not sure what would be my best option.

| Signature | 29 Mar 2005 16:44 GMT | 4 |
I want to be about to put my signature on my photos. I figure I would capture the signature and turn it into a Gimp mask and then use that mask to lighten/darken the signed area. The problem is capturing the signature. I would like to use a graphics tablet, but I don't have one

| kodak DX7590 vs Z740 | 29 Mar 2005 15:59 GMT | 5 |
I am trying to find out what the difference is on the DX7590 and the Z740. Which one is the better camera. I noticed the DX7590 has the Schneider- Kreuznach lens and the Z740 has the Retinar all glass aspheric 10X optical zoom lens. What is the difference and which one is better? ...

| Buying a Rebel XT (gray market ?) | 29 Mar 2005 15:16 GMT | 2 |
I want to buy a Canon D Rebel XT and will be taking it outside the US, permanently - so no use for the US warranty. 1. Would it be wise then to get a gray market camera? And where is there a good dealer for gray market (online outside NY, or bricks and

| Micro Nikkor AF 60mm vs 105mm (D70) | 29 Mar 2005 13:38 GMT | 22 |
I'm tossing around the idea of one of these, but the AF 60mm f2.8D is maybe half the price of the AF 105mm f2.8D. Given the D70's 1.5x crop, it seems to me it might actually be a more useful size too (for macro work).

| 20d and ZoomBrowser? | 29 Mar 2005 11:28 GMT | 8 |
I have a point-and-shoot Canon camera and now a 20d. The A75 came with ZoomBrowser. Will this application work with the 20d? It doesn't recognize the camera, although it pops up a prompt telling me it'll disconnect the camera in 60s if I let it, so there's *some*

| Comparing Digital IXUS and close relatives | 29 Mar 2005 09:43 GMT | 1 |
I'm looking to buy a new camera in the GBP 100 - 150 price range (USD 180 - 280). I need something small enough for a shirt pocket which has a fast shutter response time, a reasonable optical zoom, and takes CompactFlash memory cards. I don't need a very high
