Windoews iintegration for DCRAW available06 Mar 2005 16:28 GMT28
I've been using the DCRAW software for raw conversion of my D60 dSLR
images for over a half a year now. DCRAW provides absolutely the
highest quality RAW conversion but is somewhat difficult to use since
it is a DOS program.

D70 underexposure06 Mar 2005 00:44 GMT5
I find that my D70 consistently exposes about 1-stop below my preferred
exposure.
Is there any way I can make it over-expose by 1-stop as a default setting?
Thanks.
236 colors on the screen06 Mar 2005 00:05 GMT16
From my work with graphics programming, AFAIK a video card only has
256 entries in its active palette. 20 of these are reserved by
Windows. This leaves only 236 simultaneous colors for dots on the
screen at one time. Each of these colors has it's own r, g, and b
Help for a 1st time buyer?06 Mar 2005 00:01 GMT17
I'm planning on buying my first digital camera. $200 seems to be the
price range, plus the cost of a larger memory card. I see quite a few
cameras and don't know where to begin. A salesman at a Best Buy store
told me that Kodaks come with plastic lenses vs the optical lenses in
