Tilt/swivel LCD and great macro capability?07 Mar 2005 09:35 GMT6
My Canon 10D is a bit too large to carry all the time, especially
while motorcycling, and my Nikon CP950 is showing it's age (mechanical
problems and migapixel deficiency).
I picked up a Canon A95, but it's macro capability is no where near

Is a card reader the best way?07 Mar 2005 08:03 GMT53
This is my first time in this NG and I apologize if this is one of those
ancient questions. I am wondering if it is better to use the rather flimsy
USB cable connection to my camera or use a reader which may mean wear and
tear on the electrical contacts for the card. I do have a ...
Anybody Got Digital Pics Of Chinese School Children Blow Up?07 Mar 2005 05:54 GMT27
Some idiot Chinese mine manager just blew up 20 school children in his spare
time.  Maybe that's what they mean by "Peking duck!"  This shows just how
backward China really is.  I bet they don't have an OSHA there yet.  If they
do, it's called OSHIT.  Any foreigners traveling ...

Does anyone know of a slide show program that is as simple and small as
'Vueslide', but has some control over the time that each individual slide is
displayed?
Before you point out the slide show feature of WinXP, this program is to be
Digital vs Film for enlargements07 Mar 2005 03:54 GMT41
I enjoy making enlargements up to 18x12in and sometimes larger, when I
have a particularly good picture. However I believe that unless one is
prepared to pay for a Canon EOS 1DS MkII, the quality of such
enlargements will not match that of film. I now prefer working in

digital cameras w/stabilizer lens06 Mar 2005 23:16 GMT12
Outside of the highly touted Panasconic DMC-FZ20 are there any other
noteworthy cameras with a stabilizer lens attached.
Appreciate your recommendations.

For the development of a computer game we need special, custom photographs

region and if you are interested to make these custom photos for us, we can
pay you 50 US-$ per set (e.g. of a building).

Digital pix on TV:  CD vs DVD?06 Mar 2005 19:30 GMT10
My digital pictures look very grainy on my TV (35" Sony). Pictures are
from a 3 Meg camera, and are stored usually as .6-1.2 Meg Jpeg. I
create VCDs with HP Image Zone Express software and play them on a
Toshiba SD-K620 DVD player. From recent discussions here I realize that
