| Shooting with two 20D bodies - duplicate filenumber problem | 08 Mar 2005 05:35 GMT | 17 |
I'm working with two Canon 20D cameras in my studio. I've found problems with file numbering on jobs where I use both cameras -- I'm ending up with the same filename coming out of both cameras, which is obviously a problem when downloading various CFs to a computer. Does anyone ...

| Scan resolution | 08 Mar 2005 03:07 GMT | 8 |
I have a cheapish AstraSlim scanner, a couple of years old. I normally set its resolution to 300 or 400. But its range goes right up to 9600. I'm curious as to when such high resolutions might be used please? What max settings do other use?

| Nikon Coolpix 5200 | 08 Mar 2005 03:04 GMT | 3 |
I was thinking about purchasing this camera. Does anyone have any opinions on it, is it good/ bad? The guy in the camera store gave it a good rating, but he's selling them so... I had it narrowed down to this one and the new 5600, but the 5200 seems to have more of the features ...

| Combined Camara & Computer Bag Suggestions | 07 Mar 2005 22:36 GMT | 4 |
I am trying to find a satchel style bag that will carry my digital slr camera (with two lenses and assorted other accessories) and will also carry my normal size (15" screen) laptop. I don't want a backpack, unless that is the only way to go. I would rather have a leather or

| Why did pix go out of focus?!? | 07 Mar 2005 21:33 GMT | 10 |
Went to Africa for 3 weeks last Sept. with a new Panasonic Lumix FZ-10. Had 2 Panasonic SD cards - a 256MB and a 512MB - and naturally filled them up w/ 1600x1200 pix. Came home and copied to my iMac and burned backup DVDs. (After all, trip of a lifetime, right?) The Lumix can ...

I edit a lot of JPGs. I like to go down through the thumbnails in ACDSee (just started using version 7) until I see one that needs editing. When I find one I want to edit I select the thumbnail and drag and drop it into Photoshop.

| Is there a fiddle proof digital camera available? | 07 Mar 2005 20:42 GMT | 14 |
My elderly parents have just returned from a holiday on which they took one of my Olympus digital cameras along with a film camera. I gave them specific instructions not to touch the settings, just turn it on and take the photos. When the card is full, remove it and put another one ...

| Canon 550EX flash frustration | 07 Mar 2005 19:25 GMT | 1 |

| cropping photos | 07 Mar 2005 18:33 GMT | 8 |
Is it better to enlarge a photo from a negative then scan it, crop then print out, rather than scan a 4x6 then enlarge & crop then print it? Should I let the lab crop? I am concerned with grain in photos enlarged from ISO400&800 negatives.
