photo printing on line to walmart.com30 Mar 2005 08:05 GMT7
For those like me that have photo inkjet printers (in my case canon
i850 and canon ip3000), do you think it's worth the cost of photo
paper / ink, to print my own 4x6 photos or is uploading digital photos
to a nearby walmart just as good in picture quality and more

Broken Camera, charges30 Mar 2005 06:20 GMT4
Ok, it is going to cost me $150 to repair my F707. It seems to me that
since I can't touch anything reasonable in that price range, that the
F707 goes for about $350-$400 used, that it is worth my while to have
them fix it. If they don't throw in a cleaning I will have them do

Reputable Suppliers for Mail Order30 Mar 2005 04:20 GMT22
I would like to consider ordering a couple of lenses for my 20D. How do the
mail order houses rank? Is there just antecdotal evidence from customer
experiences related on this group or is there a place to go which tells us
how they perform? I see a wealth of comments (good and ...

batteries that I rotate when using the camera and here is the reason
why. With the camera turned off overnight the battery will be dead the

What's a picture worth?30 Mar 2005 03:06 GMT6
A friend tossed a paying photo job my way, but I don't know what money to
ask for.  I've been invited to take mugshots of an office of 25 people for
their business website.  They need digital photos only, no prints.  To do
the job I'll probably have to visit their office two or ...
At a Crossroad with a new printer30 Mar 2005 03:03 GMT8
In need to buy a new laser printer to replace my ancient one.  Also, I
would like to have a decent photo printer.  There are many in each
category to choose from but I wonder if a good quality color laser would
satisfy both the need and want?
AF field Maxxum 7D30 Mar 2005 02:55 GMT3
I have the Maxxum 7D and I have an old Vivitar 28-210 lens. When it is
attached to the body I can't choose the AF field and it doesn't matter in
which position the switch is. All the time I see the "checkerboard" on the
display and the middle filed is chosen. I can't change it. ...

Can someone please explain to me (in simple terms) the pros and cons of
setting my Nikon DSLR to either the Adobe RGB (1998) or the sRGB
IEC61966-2.1 color space in my Nikon DSLR?
I've heard that one of them has more color range/depth.

Online vs local store?29 Mar 2005 22:23 GMT19
So, if you were gonna buy a $500.00ish camera and Secure Digital Card,
would it be worth it to you to pay about $90.00 less by buying them
online vs in a local store?
I'm debating. I could pay about $535.00 online (incl. shipping charges),
What lens to get for my 350D29 Mar 2005 19:57 GMT12
As I wrote in my previous post - the kit lens is very slow. What to buy?
I have a 35 to 70 mm from my film EOS which is a little faster, but that's
for a full frame sensor and I have read that lenses designed to work with a
half frame sensor do a better job. At the moment these ...
