| Canon i950 print head | 17 Mar 2005 19:57 GMT | 4 |
First of all a warning to other Canon ink jet users. If you let your printer lie idle for a few weeks, the ink can dry in the heads and block them. I would advise always print something in colour every week. I _knew_ that, but still I managed to fall foul of it.

I recently visited Belize. We flew from Washington Dulles. I had 3 cameras and an assortment of batteries. The Minolta uses AA so I had several charged and ready. The lady at security commented but didn't do anything.

| Canon S50 upgrade: Rebel XT, or go for the 20D? | 17 Mar 2005 18:34 GMT | 9 |
As a photographer with more will than time, which would be the more productive learning curve? The price difference matters, but also to consider is Canon's possible upgrade of the 20D in the near future. I am leaning towards the Rebel XT, but I want to be firm in the decision. ...

| Photoshop's folder names | 17 Mar 2005 18:33 GMT | 6 |
Before I started using Photoshop Elements 3.0, I was using Canon software to get pictures from my digital camera, and Canon downloads the pictures into folders named by the date the pictures were taken on. I don't see how to do that with Photoshop, but I'd really like to. It

| Vivitar K-mount *almost* compatible? | 17 Mar 2005 14:31 GMT | 3 |
Hey all. I just got my Pentax *ist-DS and of course tried all my old 35mm glass on it. I've run across something rather intersting, however. An old 28-105mm Vivitar lens I've got has a slightly larger ridge on the mount that physically hits the inside of the *ist-DS. The ...

| Help on Camera Choice | 17 Mar 2005 14:26 GMT | 2 |
I am looking to get a new digital Camera. The two I have decided on are the Fuji S5500 (5100 US I think) or the Dimage Z3. (I would actually prefer to go cheaper and get the Z20 or something like that as money is pretty tight and I am new to this digital lark although I do own an ...

| "Cleaning" and "servicing" a new camera? | 17 Mar 2005 09:12 GMT | 14 |
I just bought my first digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 4600. The salesman at Best Buy encouraged me to buy a 4 year service agreement (about $50) because it includes free regular cleanings and adjustments that he says are very important. There are lenses and alignments that

| Photo Plus | 17 Mar 2005 07:45 GMT | 2 |
I have experienced a problem with PhotoPlus 9 (also with earlier versions). When I add a text layer to an image at say 14 point, sometimes the image is a good readable size, but at other times it is absolutely tiny. The same with whatever point size - for example using 28 point ...
