| Do You have Minolta F100 Camera? | 18 Mar 2005 22:31 GMT | 2 |
If you have Minolta F100 you must have noticed the 'Barrel Distortion' in pictures taken with it espcially with 'wide lens'. There is a possibility to get a camera lens calibration file that could be used with PTlens to easily correct photos:

| Newbie : Canon EOS 300D Digital SLR EF18-55mm | 18 Mar 2005 18:30 GMT | 6 |
I recently got the above after getting annoyed with the "shutter lag" on mid-priced, mid-range, mid-pixel digitalcameras. I am so far very happy with it. I have used it only as "point and focus, point and shoot" as I am a real novice on cameras. I have been lurking for a few ...

| Battery life question | 18 Mar 2005 16:17 GMT | 5 |
I have a Sony F707. I have taken some just short of 8000 pictures with it and I have been pretty reasonable about turning off the camera (and I don't do much flash work, I don't like the flash). Anyway, the batter that came with the camera and the after market I bought at the

I'm going to buy a particular item, a zoom lens. I've pretty much made up my mind what I want. I can get it from a walk-in store 60 miles from where I live, or I can buy it from one of a few reputable internet merchants, with all of whom I've dealt before with no

| How water resistant is a water resistant lens? | 18 Mar 2005 12:31 GMT | 2 |
I just me a Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L lens. Niiiice! :o) The manual, such as it is, says the lens is dirt- and water-resistant, and it certainly feels well constructed. The question is, *how* water resistant? Could I use it, for example, in a torrential downpour?

| Need high resolution scanner for unusual project | 18 Mar 2005 10:32 GMT | 4 |
I am a neophyte when it comes to scanners. Please help if you can. I have organized an engineering project at a military academy. It involves a very large lens (11" diameter, 160 degree field of view, f/2.8) The diameter of the image is 4.5". We will be photographing the night sky. ...
