Fuji S7000 and RAW question31 Mar 2005 17:28 GMT12
I am experimenting with S7000 RAW mode. The camera created a 13Mb RAW
file type RAF.
Then the converter supplied with camera by Fuji converted it to a 36Mb
ncompressed TIF file.
Choice of viewfinder31 Mar 2005 16:24 GMT13
Of two *identical* ultra compact zoom digicams, except one has a small
('tunnel-vision') optical viewfinder (with a 1.8" TTL LCD on its back) and
the other a large (2.5"; not hinged) TTL LCD (with *no* optical viewfinder),
which one do you prefer?  More importantly, can you explain ...

Epson 2200 and frames31 Mar 2005 13:51 GMT7
I am a part time portrait photographer. I only got a DSLR a month
ago. Now I am thinking it is time to invest in the Epson 2200 for
some nice archieval prints. The problem is that the company I buy
my frames from, GNP (http://www.gnpframes.com/), does not make
Fuji prints - colour correction numbers31 Mar 2005 10:36 GMT2
I recently bought a Canon 300D (Canon Digital Rebel in the States?) and
thought I'd see what results I got from a local camera shop that uses a
Fuji system to print from digital.  To say the least I wasn't
impressed.  Every picture looked horrendously over-expose (by a stop or
SD San Disk 256 Mb failure31 Mar 2005 08:13 GMT6
Just lost over 100 pictures this way: with my new Ricoh Caplio R1 (happy
choice) took picture for 4 days of vacation far from home and pc. Never
missed a shot (apparently) until I did what I usually never do (trying to
save energy) which is taking a look of the pictures from the ...

Digital camera recommendation, please... again... ;)31 Mar 2005 05:08 GMT11
I bought Fuji E550 around New Year's, based on my research on Google.
Great camera .. while it lived. Was dead 2 months later with lense
stuck midway. Google revealed it to be a common problem with Fuji
cameras. Luckily, I bought it at Costco and they took it back without

Why do I sometimes have slow transfers from my USB 2 card reader?31 Mar 2005 02:25 GMT16
I have a Zio card reader, connected to a USB 2 port on my computer,
and use it to read Smartmedia cards.
90% of the time, it moves the data FAST.  I'm guessing, but probably
60 megs of jpg data move in ten seconds or so.

Nikon Coolpix 4800 - Clicking noises on video playback30 Mar 2005 23:53 GMT1
I've just purchased a Nikon Coolpix 4800 and overall have rave reviews
about it, especially the macro lens that lets me get as close as 1cm
from an object.
The only problem thus far that I've encountered is a rythmic clicking
Does any Digital SLR have the following?30 Mar 2005 23:42 GMT7
I currently own an old Fuji 602z.  Features it has that I find very
useful but don't seem to be on entry level DSLR cameras are Voice
Recording and Framing Guidelines.
I realise Framing Guidelines would be difficult with a DSLR, as would
Oedering Prints from My website30 Mar 2005 22:27 GMT3
I have an online photo album which I have built for my family and
friends and I would like to place a link next to images so that the
viewer could order the picture through an online photo service like
Ofoto, Snapfish, etc.
