Would appreciate a good FAQ on how to handle NiMH batteries for best results
(most pics on a charge, longest battery life, etc.)

I wish to start on a project that will involve taking shots of insects
gathering nectar from Australian native plants (bees and the like as well as

document printing. it appears that the ip 8500 is the narrow version of
the i9900. i am not sure since i know nothing about photo printers. i

I have been tempted to use the DNG file format and switching from Nikon
Capture to Camera Raw.  Does Camera Raw Store the information inside
the DNG file or are we still stuck with Side Car files?

Just had a Raynox Wide Angle lens 6600PRO delivered today.
Will use it with a Lumix FZ 20.
Instruction manual fo the WA says that it ain't possible to capture
the broadened angle view through the optical finder. It also says that

I'm learning photography by trial and error.  I shoot a Nikon D70.
My outdoor photos come out looking really good, but all of my indoor
photos are either too dark or show up off-color (yellowish, maybe extra
white, etc).  I occasionally use the fill-in speedlite that came with

There are now a multitude of these large zoom cameras on the market,
including Canon S1 IS, Nikon 5700, Panasonic FZ20, Konica Minolta Z5 etc

When I got my Digital Rebel from B&H a couple months ago, the box it
came in was beat to holy hell by UPS including tears and patches with
their clear tape, and the B&H "inspect package carefully, if tape is
broken, note in presence of carrier" security tape was broken on both
