| EPSON PRINTERS - COST OF INKS! | 01 Feb 2005 17:24 GMT | 7 |
I find the quality of the Epson printers to be great, but how can anyone afford the inks? Replacement set for the large format 10000 can run $1200. Even on the smaller printers it seems that EPSON could not have made the replacement cartridges any smaller.

| Hard cases for Exilim z50 | 01 Feb 2005 17:14 GMT | 3 |
I had a Z4U which, apparently, I mistreated in the canyons of my purse (shoving it in there without putting it in a case first...yeah, I know; I know!), because now about 2/3 of my LCD is dead pixels. I can still take pix through the optical viewfinder, but I have no idea what my

| Question... Digital point 'n'shoot with slave&strobe | 01 Feb 2005 16:47 GMT | 3 |
I've looked around but can't get a good answer.. I'm looking at getting a digital point and shoot camera... but the one thing I don't like about them is the weak little flash they come with. I want to know what will happen to the exposure if I use the on camera

| Nikon D100 problem | 01 Feb 2005 16:12 GMT | 3 |
The mirror on my D100 is playing up. On any shutter speed you can hear it is open for about a second and the shot is taken on mirror close. Just like its set for rear curtain flash but its not. The pic is OK and correct shutter is used but why is the morror up for so long??

Any downsides of shooting in Adobe RGB with D70 if I'm not using the pics on the web? Will I notice any improvement going from srgb to argb?

I'm looking for software package for Windows XP that will allow me to create a photo-show with music. Recommendations? I've tried a couple of different image programs (Microsoft, HP) but none creates what I want. I really like the way my images look with

| Nikon 3700 European Recharge | 01 Feb 2005 10:16 GMT | 1 |
My battery recharger for this Nikon 3700 has printed on the cover 110/220. I'd like to use this to recharge the battery in Europe. Does anyone know if all I need is a socket convertor for this charger to work or must I buy a new recharger from a camera store over there?

| Digital rec for film holdout | 01 Feb 2005 09:30 GMT | 5 |
I've been a devotee of the Olympus 35mm system since the late 1970s, and have a not insubstantial investment in bodies, lenses, motor drives, and other Olypus paraphernaila. I do my own B&W darkroom work, and my color work isn't generally time sensoitive, so sending slides to a ...

| Kodak DX3900 Lens Adapter | 01 Feb 2005 07:29 GMT | 10 |
My father and I own a Kodak DX3900 camera and at Christmas I purchased 2 sets of lenses for them (costing me £150). However, they need a lens adapter which I'm now told by Kodak have been discontinued - their web site doesn't state this!!!

| Digital SLR | 01 Feb 2005 06:27 GMT | 11 |
I've had a Canon Rebel for over 10 years and I love the depth of filed I can get with it. My Canon S110 takes great pictures, but I can't get the same effect. So my question is, does a digital SLR, like the Canon Digital Rebel give you

| RAW a cop-out? | 01 Feb 2005 06:23 GMT | 114 |
I recently read a comment that suggested RAW was being used ineffeciently by people who never learned the craft of taking a good photo. How much truth in that?

| Digital exposure question | 01 Feb 2005 04:58 GMT | 3 |
I have photographed for years with film using Tri X and developing in D76. It was a standard for me. Now I have switched to digital (5 megapixel Nikon) and want to know if the same rules apply if I want to shoot in black and white mode, i.e. do you

| Slave Flash Technique CA70,75,85 Power Shot | 01 Feb 2005 04:01 GMT | 3 |
O.K. I should have save up a few more pennies and purchased a digital with an external flash connector. My A70 built in flash does not quite do some of the group shots I want to do. My efforts to add a flash with a synch trigger are less than hoped for.

| Centrepetal panorama | 01 Feb 2005 03:57 GMT | 1 |
I've only seen this done on a small scale for small objects. The object is place on a turntable and rotated by set angles between shots. This is often done commercially for stuff that can be rotated on a web page. I guess the grandest scale would be a series of images from the ISS ...
