Converting tiff to jpeg03 Feb 2005 14:17 GMT12
I have just received a batch of scans from slides made by a
professional film scanning company: these slides were shot in 1966
(during our honeymoon in Germany....)and I'm very impressed with the
quality of the scans - which are in tiff format: most had a blue cast

Program to sort by exif?03 Feb 2005 12:22 GMT4
I'd really like some sort of browser that will let me sort by EXIF info.
Even if it would extract and dump all the info into a CSV file I can sort
would be good enough. The only one I've found that can do this doesn't get
the extended data from a 1D, for example, the color space, ...

I'm new to DSLR recently bought the D70 with 1GB CompactFlash.

256MB CF when shooting in RAW file format which showed 40 something on the
chart and a footnote that 23, or something like that, will be ...

Fledgling photographer...03 Feb 2005 05:09 GMT3
Hey, there.
I'm less than a beginner, truly.  I'm in SCHOOL, for Pete's sake,
pursuing my BFA in Photography.  I plan on eventually making
photography my business, but until then, I just shoot photos for the

off. I have edited the file on a desktop computer and I am looking at it
with my laptop now. I have calibrated my sceens and everything was
fine until now. For some reasons all colors are totally off, but ...
ProsShow Gold to DVD problems03 Feb 2005 03:24 GMT6
I use ProShow Gold 2.0 from Photodex for creating slideshows.  I am very happy
with it  . . . except that it does not "see" my DVD burner (Pioneer 108) and
therefore cannot burn a DVD slideshow.
Photodex support says, among other things, "just burn an .iso image of the show
slide show software03 Feb 2005 03:16 GMT7
Hi guys, I have been scanning old family pictures and we do have a very
large family.  I want to add voice comments but all slide shows programs
that I have tried have an adjustable show time.  What I mean the same period
of time for each slide.  Having some family gathering ...

[Q] Nikon Battery Recharger03 Feb 2005 02:40 GMT4
I have a Nikon 3700 and the battery charger says 110/220 on the case. The cord
that came with the camera is for 110 socket. Does anyone know I can get this
recharger to work on 220v power? Do I need to purchase anything ? I am guessing
at a minimum I need a socket adapter which is ...

Need camera that displays Picture ID03 Feb 2005 02:13 GMT2
I work for a non-profit that does field data collection on urban blight
conditions using pocket PC's and digital cameras.  We currently use the
bulky, expensive (for what they are), and increasingly hard to find
Sony Mavica FD-Models.
