| MMC OR SD Card???? | 06 Feb 2005 07:38 GMT | 21 |
I am about to buy a new digital camera. The one I have picked takes both MMC and SD. My question is what card should I go for MMC or SD? Price is not an issue as both cards are the same price and capacity(128mb). Thanks in advance for any help offered.

| Nikkor AI lenses on D70 | 06 Feb 2005 04:28 GMT | 13 |
This question has probably been discussed over and over, whether AI lenses will or will NOT damage the D70 (or other Nikon digitals). I haven't ever seen this issue truly resolved yet. One poster at Dpreview said he/she called Nikon but got no definitive answer. Now on Ebay ...

I'm trying to decide whether to buy a compact nikon coolpix (4200 or 5200) or a canon elph (ixus, s410, sd300 or sd500). I've read the online reviews. If you have one of these cameras, how do you rate its macro ability?

| Quality from a one-light set-up | 06 Feb 2005 00:43 GMT | 3 |
I'm looking into buying aa AlienBee 5400 Flash Unit with umbrella and stand. As this will be the first light in my setup, I'm curious as to what level of quality I will be able to produce with this as my sole lighting source (outside of on-camera flash)? Over time I will be

I can only say WOW!! Landed in Manila yesterday and went to this Photoworld exhibition they have here. Canon's stall had the 1Ds Mark-II on display. I asked the rep to show me the camera. He tried to get a regular lens but found his colleague using it on the 1D. So he took out

| best low end software | 05 Feb 2005 21:46 GMT | 21 |
What would be the best low-end software for a newbie? I've tried Picasa, HP's, and Microsoft's and none offer quite what I want, which is a tad more manipulation of color and special effects. But I don't want to spend $500 on Adobe Photoshop either (plus I don't have time to ...

| Nikon D70 Rebate now $200 | 05 Feb 2005 21:39 GMT | 3 |
Through the end of March. http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1&grp=2 It's getting tempting--I wish there was some firm information about the D100 replacement; if the new D100/200 is 8MP or so and as low noise as the D70 I'll probably wait.

| Colorvision PrintFix & borderless printing | 05 Feb 2005 20:45 GMT | 1 |
For my Epson 2200, I have to select "Enhanced Matte Paper" from the paper menu, regardless of what type of paper I use. That is for initial calibration and for regular printing. But that paper type does not support borderless printing, but that's all I ever use. Therefore the ...
