Picture problem Nikon/CF card.09 Feb 2005 15:23 GMT1
On Sunday I was out taking some nice photos with a Nikon 8700 which I
borrowed from a friend.
After 2 hours, the camera behaved bad.
Take a look at:
Digital is best but...09 Feb 2005 15:19 GMT29
Film shoots in 60mpixels equivalent to the best digital at only 10-12? Does
this mean in time digital will be as good when it gets to those figures or
is it already as good in quality ?
Digital photography in my opinion is the best thing to come from all this
Tell me this is not True..  Canon Pro 1  and Filters..09 Feb 2005 14:50 GMT2
That you can't use a filter  with the Lens Hood..?
Panasonic DMC FZ20 Flash Gun09 Feb 2005 14:42 GMT5

gun for my Panasonic DMC FZ20?
Many thanks
photo noise - a new random photo viewing site09 Feb 2005 13:55 GMT5
I have just completed a fun website that displays, at random, digital
pictures from all over the world.
http://www.stevenread.com/photonoise/
These pictures are found randomly in real-time, there is no saving or
SB 800 vs Sigma EF 500 DG Super09 Feb 2005 11:25 GMT3
For my D70 I so much want an extern flashlight. Where do I find data
to compare these two? Or are they in complete different leages?
Anyway, for the one or the other I need a sync cable - what do I need?
regular cable or is there something special with the shoe of the D70?
Replacement for Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition09 Feb 2005 10:42 GMT2
I loved my Adobe PhotoDeluxe Business Edition which came bundled with
my Canon Printer.  It did everything I needed and was simple to use.
But, since I've upgraded to Win XP, I cannot get it to install.  So,
I'd like to find a replacement photo editing software for it.  The one

Camedia master 4.1 problems09 Feb 2005 08:54 GMT1
I have just installed Camedia Master on a new DELL Optiplex Desktop.
No problems in installing the program, but big problems using it...
In Print Images I can see all the thumbnails in the left panel, but
when I drag the picture into the Preview Display Area, the picture
LCD vs CRT display09 Feb 2005 07:23 GMT71
I was thinking of getting a 19" LCD monitor to replace my CRT but someone in
this newsgroup mentioned something about the accuracy of color reproduction
on one vs the other.  Is there a significant difference between the two?
TIA
How to "straighten" a panorama?09 Feb 2005 06:25 GMT14
Hi, I have been working on trying to figure out panoramic pictures
lately and one (of the many) problems i have run into is not being able
to make it (all the "attached" pictures) line up neatly/straight.
Instead i get anything from a wavy picture to a swirl.  I am guessing
Finepix F10 Zoom ISO 1600?09 Feb 2005 06:08 GMT2
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0502/05020802fuji_finepixf10z.asp
I just read the above release on dpreview... does anyone else have any
additional details on this digicam? How can they achieve ISO 1600 on a
1/1.7" CCD? Seems a little early for April Fool's jokes.
ACDSee09 Feb 2005 05:43 GMT10
I downloaded the trial version of ACDSee.  Nice enough, but s-l-o-w.
Deleting an image seems to take forever.  It slows down other programs
that are running at the same time even if I keep only one or two other
programs running.

Kind of new to digital photography, need a program that will
rename *.jpg's to date and time taken.
Please help. See inside09 Feb 2005 03:46 GMT3
I had an Olympus Camedia C3000 which got hit by lightening. Didn't
like it much anyway.
I have narrowed my choice in a new camera to the Nikon Coolpix or the
Minolta Dimage A200.
