Looking for an USB digital video camera10 Feb 2005 20:00 GMT1
I´m looking for a couple of USB digital video cameras.  After reading
some posts on this group I found out that firewire is kind of a
standard for camera pluging in.  Because of hardware restrictions I do
need to find a digital video camera but the interface to the computer

I´m looking for a couple of Digital Video Cameras but I need them to
be USB 2.0 interfaced to connect to a PC or other USB 2.0 compatible

compressing it.  I´m wondering if someone could give me some guidance
Hugin/Enblend problem10 Feb 2005 18:14 GMT6
Following recommendations here I've been experimenting with Hugin and
Enblend for creating panoramas.  The results have been excellent so
far - except for one thing.
Hugin is creating its TIF files with compression turned on.  Enblend
Anybody use "Backdrop Outlet"???10 Feb 2005 18:05 GMT7
I seldom use E-Bay, so Im not really good at finding bargains, so I went
along with my wife and bid on a couple of items that were on auction from
"Backdrop Outlet".
I won the items: A studio slave with stand and bounce umbrella for < $70 and

I want to present an animation of an object in one frame so that the viewer
can 'grab' the object with the mouse and examine it from every angle.
This obviously must involve taking pictures from every angle - say 360
pictures on each of two or three axis.  i.e. the object ...

Need printing service for panaramas10 Feb 2005 14:28 GMT1
I'd like to print some of my panaramas, 6" X 72" and 12" X 72".  I would
prefer printing on photo paper instead of inkjet.  I'm in the San
Francisco Bay Area and would prefer a local printer, but I'll consider
mail order.  Quality is my main consideration.
Nikon 50 mm AF-D lens and D70 question10 Feb 2005 13:20 GMT8
Does Nikon 50 mm AF-D lens becomes a wide angle lens if used with D70
or it remains a 50 mm lens? Is there anything different happens when we
use this lens with D70 because of CCD smaller than 35 mm film?
Thanks in advance.
Virtual Reality image presentatons - software needed10 Feb 2005 12:39 GMT2
I want to photograph some art object from multiple angles and stitch the
photographs in a similar manner to the panorama stitching operation, but in
a more complex way so as to offer the viewer  the capability to view the
object from any angle.
Question about SD10 Feb 2005 11:36 GMT4
I am about to purchase my first digital camera, and also an extra SD card.
(It seems that all the cameras I have looked at only include a 16MB card,
which seems a little small).
It appears there are different "types" of SD - I have seen terms like "ULTRA
image scanning hardware10 Feb 2005 10:55 GMT4
For some time now I've been thinking I could do with a scanner.  Up til now,
if I've had any scanning to do I've used the scanner at the office.
I have just acquired a number of old photos which I'd like to scan.  None of
the photos are particularly large but the problem is that ...
