Hi. I want to buy a digital camera for Web work. I have a 35MM camera for print work, so I don't need to print high-quality photos. I think this means I don't need to pay for more than 2 megapixels. What about resolution, memory, etc.?

Well, great relief! I finally got my EOS300D back today, and it's fixed--FREE! By the local guy. Here is the story, and I'm saying this all not just to give a "postive vent" (share my joy) but also to help those in case they get this problem.

Someone on the Internet at a reputable site is selling the Coolpix 5000 for $190 shipped, including 2 batteries, 2 chargers, 128 Lexar 12x CF card, AC adapter, and all box contents except "beginner's" card. I am a former 5400 user, sold it last November to get the Digital Rebel.

I have a new Canon Digital Elph S500, which uses CF cards. In using my 512 MB card, I have deleted many photos that were not good enough. I noticed that deleting a frame reduces the frame numbers by one, but does not reduce the JPEG number. For example, my CF card now has 52 frames,

I handed my camera to a friend to take a picture. When he handed it back to me, the zoom switch was not working. It seems to be moving freely, not engaging whatever mechanism it is that causes the zoom to move.
