Pentax Optio S and USB SD Reader Broken (SP 2 issue?)18 Feb 2005 20:03 GMT6
I no longer can read my SD card in the Optio S.  I can read it in a PCMCIA
adapter so the card is fine.  This might be a XP SP2 issue but I cannot find
specific information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base nor on Usenet.
Anyone have a Pentax Optio S and is using it with XP SP2 and ...

The response to the Digital SLR Information web site that I created has
received numbersof hits been beyond my expectations. I have obtained a more
logically named URL for the site, DigitalSLRInfo.com.
Thank's for all the feedback. I've added several new columns to the

I've added some of the information on the new Digital Rebel XT to

weekend though (tomorrow is a ski day).
I'm not sure if this new Canon model should go into the Prosumer or Consumer
Film cameras anyone?18 Feb 2005 18:02 GMT55
Now that I have my new Canon Rebel, I have a quandry? I want to buy a
fast 50mm lens for it, for low light stuff to go with the 18-55 that comes
with it.  I was thinking that maybe I would buy a used Canon AF SLR body
with the lens I want. That way I'll have 2 camera bodies and ...
Real-time camera view on PC?18 Feb 2005 17:19 GMT13
I have an Olympus E10 and I'm using it to photograph jewelry in a light box.
Due to the positioning of the camera, it's difficult to operate the
controls.  It would be ideal if I could control the camera from my PC.  It's
in a fixed position and I always have the USB cable ...
D70 infrared filters18 Feb 2005 17:12 GMT11
I have found many online galleries showing the great results that can
be had from the D70 in this respect, but have been unable to find a
great deal about what filters are available and who makes them.  Do you
have any experience in this area?

Epson PictureMate Printer and consumer digicams18 Feb 2005 15:19 GMT1
I got the PictureMate for the wife for Xmas and have to say that I'm very
dissappointed. While print results are superb, the paper size doesn't match
the ascpect ratio of our Canon A75, A95 or Coolpix 3200. We have to manually
crop every picture to avoid getting white borders at ...

Nikon 2100: Blow-up Assembly Diagram Available?18 Feb 2005 14:16 GMT2
A few months ago the wife's CoolPix 2100 just decided to die without warning.
I liked the little guy - it was certainly easier to carry around than my big
Olympus, although I would miss the 10x zoom on the Oly.  After talking it
over in this forum, I ended up just buying her a ...

My insurance company have recetly replaced my Dimage Z1 with a Dimage Z3

Custon White Balance: Subject Photo?18 Feb 2005 10:27 GMT15
I'm looking for a target for making the photo needed to do custom white
balancing on my 300D.  Something I could have confidence in and take
with me from gym to gym (I shoot a lot of volleyball...)  Any ideas?
Is there a commercial target card or something like that?
Ball head tripod choice18 Feb 2005 10:21 GMT5
During my recent trip to Manila, I found that my pan-head tripod had
gotten crippled in baggage handling. So looking for a new tripod that
has a ball-head, light-weight (relatively), cheap and extends to
atleast 68 inches (I am 5 feet 10 inches). The maximum load will be my
