Digital Photography and Airport Security19 Feb 2005 06:55 GMT8
I am new to the world of digital photography and wonder about how
digital cameras and their memory cards fare going through the X ray
machines at airport security checkpoints.  I've had not too pleasant
experience with film in that situation.

NOISE19 Feb 2005 05:22 GMT58
Why do we kick noise?....Film has noise...Damn boring if it didn't...Perhaps
its what the noise looks like? Another words; many times-I see noise in
digital images...that's more like- spotted artifacts...With film...its more
grain like...Digital needs to get past this-plastic ...

I still have one of those stupid Earthlink cameras that I've never been able
to find a driver for, or at least a driver that works.  any leads on this?
Looks like it's made by Zirlink.  Yes, I have two other digital camera,
including an SLR, but thought this would be fun to get ...
Photo Browser19 Feb 2005 03:49 GMT7
I'm relatively new to photography.  I have access to Photoshop 7.0 so I
don't need any photo editing software.
What I need is some piece of software that allows me to quickly view each of
my photo's with a full or very nearly full screen ('cause I can't see

Selling Digital Art19 Feb 2005 02:49 GMT15
I've been a photographer for 30+ years, and sold some work through
galleries and shows, but now want to try selling on the internet.
Does anyone ever buy artwork over the internet?  Do you prefer art
galleries, art.com, eBay, or artists personal web sites?  Ever feel
PCANDPLASMA Scam Artists!19 Feb 2005 02:05 GMT14
I sent an email to the General Manager of PCANDPLASMA stating that I
was going to post the same thing I posted here on every newsgroup,
forum and review site I could find, as well as the Attorney General,
major publications and the BBB.  After all this time I finally got a
CF card theft on CSI last night 19 Feb 2005 01:57 GMT2
This week's CSI included a segment where one of the CSIs stepped away from
her camera which was inside the crime tape perimeter and later found her
crime scene photos being broadcast on the local TV.  Some 'enterprising'
paparazzi had crossed the line, swapped his blank 32M CF ...

Nikon D2Hs18 Feb 2005 23:51 GMT22

At $3500, I guess it competes with the Canon 1D Mark-II ($4500). But
why the older 4MP sensor? Why not atleast use the D70's 6.1MP sensor
and give it a fair chance against the 1D Mark-II. With almost similar
Case for a Nikon D7018 Feb 2005 22:45 GMT2
I just purchased a D70 and would like a protective case.  The one
recommended for the D70 looks rather thin and flimsy with a little velcro
tab for closure.  However, the Nikon case for the D100 looks like a more
substantial rigid leather(vinyl ?) type case I have for my older film ...
