640 x 480 (VGA) @ 15fps Vs 30 fps (Movie Mode)22 Feb 2005 01:30 GMT6
In the process of comparing the Olympus c-7000 with Canon G6 I'd say
Canon is better in almost all aspects.
However, the video mode specs favor Olympus as for the same 640 x 480
resolution Oly can do 30fps and Canon just 15.
COLD weather22 Feb 2005 01:21 GMT35
I have this new D70 ready to shoot. It's FREEZING out there. Does cold
weather affect the camera itself and is it harmful to it? I guess I should
read the specifications about operating temp ranges. It's actually about 3
degrees here with the wind chill. That may not be good for an ...

ND filter22 Feb 2005 00:59 GMT4
I have a question about Natural Density (Gray filters). If you consider
the images on my site www.sigma2.dk How can I then benefit from
applying a ND filter to my camera ? Is it not possible to apply an
effect in PS that will do the same ?
Canon 20D noise reduction at high ISO's22 Feb 2005 00:48 GMT12
On my 20D there's a custom function to reduce noise at high ISO's. I'm
curious why this is a custom function & not built into the firmware
already? When *wouldn't* you want the noise suppression turned on at
ISO's of 1600 & 3200?
Charging the Sony CyberShot DSC-P20022 Feb 2005 00:46 GMT5
I'm looking into getting a Sony CyberShot DSC-P200 Digital Camera, and
I have a few questions about it.
The biggest concern I have is charging.  It seems that I can charge the
battery by just plugging in the camera without having to remove the
How to capture a scene from mpg21 Feb 2005 23:43 GMT3

Ok Canon350D21 Feb 2005 23:18 GMT15
Now that Canon has announced the 350D with its new CMOS sensor and high
performance DIGIC II , is this the same as used in the 20D or is this a
second generation sensor.  Now I wounding if its going to have banding
problems like the 20D. Also will the indoor flash work any better ...
redness21 Feb 2005 23:09 GMT1
When I go to preview screen in elements 3.0  the faces of the people
become very red. It prints that way also.  The photo is fine when it is
downloaded but becomes red in the preview screen.
Any ideas on how to correct
16bit photoshop files: why do they bloat?21 Feb 2005 22:51 GMT10
Here's something I've noticed: a 16 bit file with adjustment layers
bloats really badly compared to 8 bit.
I created a 720x576 8 bit image and drew some stuff on it. Then I added
an adjustment layer and drew on the layer mask. The resulting file is
Circuses21 Feb 2005 22:33 GMT6
I have the opportunity to take some photographs within the big top
during the show as long as I do not use flash.
Has anybody done this or got any suggestions as to the best way to go
about it?

Tamron 28-75 lens21 Feb 2005 19:45 GMT5
Would the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 lens be a good choice as my normal
walk-around lens for a Nikon D-100?
The Nikkor 28-105 is in the same price range, but is f3.5 - f4.5.
Is the quality of the Nikkor lens that much better as to be worth the
Nikon or Sigma 12-24?21 Feb 2005 19:40 GMT6
What are your opinions on these lenses? And which is a better buy? I'm
using a Fuji S2 pro.
Thanks.
