D70 with Ai lenses22 Feb 2005 18:20 GMT13
So if there is no metering with these lenses, you could shoot in RAW and
then adjusting the exposure in post production, am I right?
How do you re-grease a polarizer filter?22 Feb 2005 17:52 GMT9
Brand new polarizer spins way too easily in it's mount.  It is used on a
movie camera and it slowly revolves while shooting and the outcome is
getting annoying real quick.
Short of using a rubber band to hold it still, has anyone ever pulled the

looking for Photo DVD software recommendation...22 Feb 2005 17:13 GMT5
I am trying to find a program that will allow me to make a DVD photo
album. I have several programs that will allow you to make slideshows,
but that's not what I'm looking for. I have about 3500 pictures in 350
folders that I would like to be able to browse through manually on a
External flash information22 Feb 2005 17:12 GMT12
Can anyone suggest a good source of information about add-on flashes?
Especially for digital cameras. It can be a book or a web site that
describes what different features are and what they do, which brands
are good, etc.
Newbie question CR2 Files22 Feb 2005 16:31 GMT3
A friend took some photos for me and gave me the digital data with 2
files for each image-- typically a JPG file 2.96 MB, and its larger
CR2 file of 10.5 MB.  When I look at the image info on these 2 files
in IrfanView here is the data I see:

memory card for it. it can take either an SD card or an MMC. Is there an
advantage of one over the other? This camera will do short video, not sure
how long. It is a 4 MP. Thansk for your help.
Using old laptop drive22 Feb 2005 11:21 GMT10
Anyone take an old drive out of an unused  laptop and use it for backing
up on the road? I have a ten gig drive in a Sony Vaio subnote which I
assume is a 1.5 inch one. Presumably I could get an enclosure with power
supply and run it through USB port, or connect
Konica Minolta DiMAGE E40 vs Nikon Coolpix 420022 Feb 2005 10:18 GMT2
I thought I'd give this forum a go with my problem.  My 2 year old has
dropped my Ricoh Caplio RR30 and did me a huge favour...I never did like the
quality of images from it.
So off to the shops I go with the following list:

Changing EXIF  Date taken information as  a batch22 Feb 2005 03:20 GMT2
My wife's camera had the default date set when she started taking pictures
on our recent trip to Egypt.  I can correct the date taken information
easily enough  using Uleads' Photo Explorer 8.5.  But the program only
allows you to change pictures one at a time.  Is there any ...

Question on recharging NIMH batteries22 Feb 2005 02:33 GMT15
We use NIMH batteries in our Canon A75 digital camera. They work fine and I
normally recharge them when they are just about out of charge.
But, we are going on vacation soon. I would guess that the current batteries
are maybe half-charged. Can I just charge them up now, or would ...
Fixing Incorrect Date Stamp On Digital Photos22 Feb 2005 02:30 GMT15
I have several photos from 2004 taken with my 35mm camera that when I got
developed were converted to digital. However, my camera's date stamp was set
incorrectly so that all of these photos have '03 on them instead of '04. I
am looking for some program that would enable to fix ...
