50mm f1.8?23 Feb 2005 02:08 GMT29
http://www.tawbaware.com/canon_lens_test2.htm
Seems odd so many people bragging about this lens. I guess for an $80 lens
it's good but given how soft the center is wide open and the edges are even
at f2.5, I don't see what all the excitement is about. Looks like just
Adobe photoshop elements 323 Feb 2005 01:01 GMT6
When I go to print my photo, in the preview window the colors is much
redder than it was when I edited it.  It also prints that way also.  I
have a new color pixma 6000 printer.  I am assuming problem is in
elements.
Just say NO to Bin Ladin!!!!23 Feb 2005 00:58 GMT1
Hi all I am helping a friend promote a web site. You see a childhood
friend of hers lost her husband at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11,
2001. She has run into some hard times and my freind wants to help her.
So she came up with the idea to market Just say NO to Bin Ladin
Whats better - Fuji F450 or F610?23 Feb 2005 00:55 GMT3
Im getting a new camera and thought about getting either of Fuji F450 or
F610
Whilst the F610 can do images of 12 million mega pixels the 450 has better
optical zoom. The 450 is smaller than the 610 which is a little chunkier.
iPhoto5 (Mac)23 Feb 2005 00:43 GMT1
Just got iPhoto5 for the Mac. Nice upgrade for general photo tweaking
The 'Straiten' feature is very nice. Also the temperature, tint, an
histogram additions.
The quick switching between color, b&w, and sepia - from the Adjus
Returns23 Feb 2005 00:35 GMT3
I would bet that 70 to 80% of most Camera returns is from lack of
knowledge or improper use. Just like the one that returned his camera
because it had spots on the blue sky, found out it was just dust on the
sensor, so that one had to be repacked and what done with it, sold as ...
SRGB22 Feb 2005 23:28 GMT8
I"ve been shooting my pictures in RGB mode in my Canon 20D. Is there
any advantage to shooting SRGB?
Thanks, Art
Which Coolpix?22 Feb 2005 23:22 GMT2
I can get a new in the box 4300 which is about 2 years old technology at a
very
discounted price or alternatively the newly released 4600 at a good but not
great price but more than the 4300.
handheld indoor photos without a flash for under $1,50022 Feb 2005 21:25 GMT15
I would like to purchase a camera that is capable of taking handheld
photos indoors without the use of a flash in low light conditions. I
want to capture the moment as it really is, with the available lighting
without the flash lighting up the whole place. I don't want to spend a
Epson printers ... R1800, 1280, 2200 and Pro line22 Feb 2005 20:57 GMT8
This is an interesting write-up from an Epson dealer on the new R1800,
comparing it to Epson's existing 13" wide printers (1280 and 2200),
with comments on whether or not this ink set will migrate upward to the
Pro line (4000, 7600, 9600).
Anyone know where I can get a lot of photos scanned to digital media?22 Feb 2005 20:57 GMT10
I need to scan a hundred or so photos to create a digital picture show
for my sister's wedding. The thought of sitting at a flatbed scanner
and running a hundred pics through manually makes my head hurt. Any
idea of a service that would do this for me?
Lenses for Pentax *ist DS22 Feb 2005 18:48 GMT2
I've got the 18-55 zoom that came with the camera, and I've got a
Sigma 28-200mm zoom that I had on my MZ-50 but still seems to work,
although it has trouble focussing at longer lengths. I'm looking for a
prime lens at around the 100mm or maybe 135mm mark. Are there any
PenPartner and Photoshop22 Feb 2005 18:33 GMT3
I am looking at getting an entry level graphics tablet for doing minor
touch-up work in Photoshop CS.  This work comprises mostly of little
bits dodge & burn, plus masking.
I have been looking at the Wacom Pen Partner, which is only about
