Which camera ? canon a80 or a85 ?26 Dec 2004 18:23 GMT4
Can anyone help ? I can`t decide on which one to buy. The Canon a80 or a85.
They are both very close in price. I like the metal body of the A80. But
dont want to buy it if the a85 has some better featues. Any input ?

Chromira - poster size prints26 Dec 2004 18:01 GMT7
What kinds of process does Ofoto (Kodak) use to print 20x30? dyesub,
injet or chemical?
I have found a cheap place which uses Chromira, which is a lot cheaper
than WestCoastImaging. And they are just an hour from my home.
Canon A95 or Fuji E55026 Dec 2004 17:39 GMT4
Actually I like my old Kodak DX3600, but now want the ability to crop and
still make a decent 8x10 print.  Even though I am not a novice, the Canon
mode dial makes no  sense to me, but everyone says that it makes a great
photo.  The Fuji looks a bit more user friendly, but reviews ...
Canon 9900 vs Epson 220026 Dec 2004 17:29 GMT31
I am still trying to decide which large format printer to buy.  The Epson
2200 will take paper other than Epson, and I like that feature.  I have
heard conflicting stories about the Canon 9900 being able to take other than
Canon paper.  Has anyone on the forum used paper other ...
the color gamut of dcam sensors26 Dec 2004 16:45 GMT2
I have been scanning film for 15 years, and I am now considering buying
a quality digital camera (short of paying for a professional 35mm
equivalent sensor, possibly a '4/3' CCD) ... and I am a bit dismayed at
any of the reviewing websites testing the cameras' color capabilities
Fuji FinePix S700026 Dec 2004 16:42 GMT3
I have just seen the above camera in a sale catalogue for $AUS 847
that claims up to 12 megapixels. I assume the "up to" means not
optical resolution, as it would be with scanners?
How does this camera rate?
Nikon 5400 question26 Dec 2004 16:35 GMT1
Well, I'm really pleased with my D100 but I want to get a compact for my
wife to have at school, and me to put in my shirt pocket occasionally.    Am
looking at the 5400 because:
1)  it has an accessory shoe for external flash and is compatible with my

Any problem with generic batteries?26 Dec 2004 14:52 GMT5
I just dug out my Canon PowerShot S200 Digital ELPH, and find that the
battery doesn't last long and I need a replacement (I think I left it
charging for months at one point--a no-no according to the manual). It has
the Canon battery pack NB-1LH. I've found a generic for it at
When will 20D price go down?26 Dec 2004 14:36 GMT26
Will it be after Xmas, or longer? I am at a dilemma -- I can buy a used 10D for
around $750-$800 and have enough left over in my budget to get either the Sigma
12-24 or Tokina 12-24. . Or I can buy the 20D and use they 18-55 on my
D-Rebel.About the only significant difference I can ...
D100 Nikon compared to 10D Canon26 Dec 2004 13:33 GMT10
A few days ago I got some images to enlarge which were taken with a D100
Nikon and processed through a Mac computer. The files were about 6 meg in
size. OK so interpolation of 10D Canon images shot with 100 or 200 ISO
setting have always looked pretty good at 20x30 and many go to ...
