| Chromira - poster size prints | 26 Dec 2004 18:01 GMT | 7 |
What kinds of process does Ofoto (Kodak) use to print 20x30? dyesub, injet or chemical? I have found a cheap place which uses Chromira, which is a lot cheaper than WestCoastImaging. And they are just an hour from my home.

| Canon A95 or Fuji E550 | 26 Dec 2004 17:39 GMT | 4 |
Actually I like my old Kodak DX3600, but now want the ability to crop and still make a decent 8x10 print. Even though I am not a novice, the Canon mode dial makes no sense to me, but everyone says that it makes a great photo. The Fuji looks a bit more user friendly, but reviews ...

| Canon 9900 vs Epson 2200 | 26 Dec 2004 17:29 GMT | 31 |
I am still trying to decide which large format printer to buy. The Epson 2200 will take paper other than Epson, and I like that feature. I have heard conflicting stories about the Canon 9900 being able to take other than Canon paper. Has anyone on the forum used paper other ...

| the color gamut of dcam sensors | 26 Dec 2004 16:45 GMT | 2 |
I have been scanning film for 15 years, and I am now considering buying a quality digital camera (short of paying for a professional 35mm equivalent sensor, possibly a '4/3' CCD) ... and I am a bit dismayed at any of the reviewing websites testing the cameras' color capabilities

| Fuji FinePix S7000 | 26 Dec 2004 16:42 GMT | 3 |
I have just seen the above camera in a sale catalogue for $AUS 847 that claims up to 12 megapixels. I assume the "up to" means not optical resolution, as it would be with scanners? How does this camera rate?

| Nikon 5400 question | 26 Dec 2004 16:35 GMT | 1 |
Well, I'm really pleased with my D100 but I want to get a compact for my wife to have at school, and me to put in my shirt pocket occasionally. Am looking at the 5400 because: 1) it has an accessory shoe for external flash and is compatible with my

| Any problem with generic batteries? | 26 Dec 2004 14:52 GMT | 5 |
I just dug out my Canon PowerShot S200 Digital ELPH, and find that the battery doesn't last long and I need a replacement (I think I left it charging for months at one point--a no-no according to the manual). It has the Canon battery pack NB-1LH. I've found a generic for it at

| When will 20D price go down? | 26 Dec 2004 14:36 GMT | 26 |
Will it be after Xmas, or longer? I am at a dilemma -- I can buy a used 10D for around $750-$800 and have enough left over in my budget to get either the Sigma 12-24 or Tokina 12-24. . Or I can buy the 20D and use they 18-55 on my D-Rebel.About the only significant difference I can ...

| D100 Nikon compared to 10D Canon | 26 Dec 2004 13:33 GMT | 10 |
A few days ago I got some images to enlarge which were taken with a D100 Nikon and processed through a Mac computer. The files were about 6 meg in size. OK so interpolation of 10D Canon images shot with 100 or 200 ISO setting have always looked pretty good at 20x30 and many go to ...
