| Ligthest camera | 15 Oct 2004 09:28 GMT | 2 |
What are good options for ligthweight cameras with some decent quality? The idea is to mount it in a helium blimp to take aerial pictures. The more resolution (3 Mpix would be ok, but 6 is great), lens and image quality the better, but weight is the primary value. Usual conditions ...

| Are smaller memory cards better? | 15 Oct 2004 08:28 GMT | 11 |
Right now I can buy 2 sd 256 cards cheaper than one 512 card. I know a big card holds more pictures and longer video. What are the advantages of the smaller card other than price?

| Any rumours/whispers of 7Mp version of Sony DSC W1? | 15 Oct 2004 07:57 GMT | 4 |
After much tooing and froing I have decided that the Sony W1 is the camera for me (mainly AA batteries with decent spec). The only thing giving me second thoughts is that there might be a 7Mp version on the way as has happened with the Sony P100 / P150 cameras. As the W1 seems

| d70 | 15 Oct 2004 07:26 GMT | 7 |
I received my D70 today. It has a hood for the Kit lens. It goes on but I don't see where it locks, is it supposed to be loose? How are most getting their pictures into Xp. Using XP internal program? Installing the Nikon picture Project software? or I have a notebook ...

| Don't be a lummox, try a Lumix! | 15 Oct 2004 06:34 GMT | 11 |
I've had a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 for several weeks and here's my take on it. For those who don't know, this is a 5MP camera with a 12X stabilized Leica zoom and pro-level features. It has some SLR bulk and feel but the materials are lightweight and it's not hard to carry.

| Recommended Books for Photoshop Elements | 15 Oct 2004 06:14 GMT | 5 |
Based on responses to my post from a short while back, "Editing Software Progression" (thanks for the help), I'm going to start with a copy of Elements 1.0 that I already have and probably get 3.0 when it becomes avaliable. Are there any particularly good books for the "Elements" ...

| Olympus 750 Dropped..pitted lens Help Please. | 15 Oct 2004 05:24 GMT | 6 |
Like an idiot I was moving my camera off a picnic table so it wouldn't get knocked off and dropped it... It slipped out from my hand and fell about 3 feet. It landed on the front lens in some 3/8" minus cruched rock. Is there any good Canadian repair places that could fix this. or ...

| Do all Sony high end (5MP) digital camera have a long delay between shots? | 15 Oct 2004 04:52 GMT | 1 |
I have a Sony DSC V1 5 Megapixel camera. The camera is great, but I do have one complaint. When I shoot with a flash and at 5 MP, it takes quite a long time for it to write to the memory stick and recharge the flash.

| Web hosting- commercial | 15 Oct 2004 02:33 GMT | 2 |
I am looking for recommendations based on your experience,- or good hearsay- as to what sites are good for selling photos. That is, upload x photos, send out E-mail, and invite people to make prints on their nickel, but with some dimes flowing my way.

| Purchase Advice | 15 Oct 2004 02:17 GMT | 2 |
I have been using a Canon Elf and an Olympus Camedia D540 for the past souple of years, but I am not very satisfed with them. I have been looking for a replacement, and I don't know if I need to move to the new, expensive SLR digitals from Canon and Nikon, or if there is ...

| Program to crop and enlarge | 15 Oct 2004 01:55 GMT | 15 |
Years ago I did some work in a photo darkroom. It was a simple matter to enlarge and crop an image to a particular size (8X10 for example). Editing a digital image is quite another matter though.

| price of cards vs. film | 15 Oct 2004 01:48 GMT | 80 |
A local lab sells Kodak 100 24exp for $2. That means for $50 I will get 600 shots, developing is $4.99/roll that gives me 1200 photos for $124.75 (I get 2nd set for free), for a total of $174.75 I could throw out the ones I dont like(still have them on negs), and scan the
