Now Compare Pentax to the 300D31 Jan 2004 23:51 GMT23
Now that Pentax has reduced the price of the *istD by $300, which would make it
just under $1000 at the best outlets (also a rebate if combined with the 26 to
45mm lens), a comparison between it and the Canon 300D is in order.  If you
take a look at the reviews and physically look ...
Organizing and sharing family pics31 Jan 2004 23:24 GMT5
Just would like some feed back on how everyone organizes and shares
thier pictures with family. I have all our old family photos now and
would like to make a cd/dvd to send to all my family so they can look
at/make prints of any pictures they want. (I have scanned most in
Finepix s602 compatible power adapters?31 Jan 2004 22:09 GMT1
Does anyone know if the Finepix s602 will work with non-fuji-made, but
made-for-fuji 5V power adapters, like this one?
http://www.jessops.com/search/viewproduct.cfm?PRODUCT=OPTFUJ5VACA.  There
isn't a lot of info on the Jessops site, and the guy in the shop reckons

Portable Storage Device31 Jan 2004 21:52 GMT5
If I'm going outback Austalia for a few months, and I don't have a lap top,
and don't want to spend a fortune on memory cards to take with me, is there
some other storage device I can take with me to store loads of digital
images before processing?  Perhaps some type of portable ...
"Vision Optics" lens quality31 Jan 2004 21:28 GMT3
Is anyone familiar with "Vision Optics" telephoto or wide angle lens
adapters?  I came across a listing on Ebay at $80 for both.  I'm certainly
not a professional but am hoping to find a balance between value and quality
that meets my budget!  Just curious if anyone has experience ...

Canon A80 Filters31 Jan 2004 21:13 GMT4
I'm considering buying a Canon A80 and am wondering about the front lens
mount. Does it take standard 37mm threaded filers or does it have to be a
special mount/filter type? Thanks in advance.

D100 help31 Jan 2004 20:41 GMT7
Couple of questions to any D100 or equiv experts out there.
1. I am a old time Nikon user, but this is my first Semi-high-end digital.
All the problems I'm having are flash related. I use a Sunpak 5000AF, which
I have used for quite a long time with my 35mm cameras. The flash states ...

Setup suggestions for product photos?31 Jan 2004 19:43 GMT3
I will be setting up a website to sell fashion accessories, mainly watches,
handbags and jewelry, and I'll need to take photos of all the products for the
website. I currently have a Canon S100 2.0 MP and am wondering if it'll be
suitable. The photos must look very professional.
Aspect ratio - why not exactly 3:231 Jan 2004 19:34 GMT13
It seems that the Nikon D100 and D70 produce 3,008 x 2,000-pixel images.
Why not a more precise 3:2?  I am guessing that pixel count has to be a
multiple of 16 for processing into JPEG, so that the horizontal count must
be a multiple of 48 and the vertical a multiple of 32.  2976 * ...
Sensor Type: CCD vs. CMOS - Opinions?31 Jan 2004 19:13 GMT6
I have been "shopping" for a digital camera and have used the
"dpreview.com" web site to obtain comparative information. The sensor
type varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Two questions:
1. What does the sensor do?

Interesting article.  All nine of the cameras on the current
Mars missions are identical, and had to meet a host of
different requirements.  They apprently have a much higher
