I've taken two photos in 640x480 mode and in 1024x768. The real size of the photos is the same (I mean the pictures are absolutletely the same), but the dpi is also the same (120 dpi). How can it be? What do I not understand?

Just got a new Pentax Optio S. Copied first round of photos to my computer software and checked the complete metadata. There were entries for X resolution = 72 and Y resolution = 72.

It seems like I just got a G2 and already there is a G3 and G5. Good grief. It doesn't bother me to not have the latest and the greatest, but I was somewhat diappointed to see on Canon's site that the G3 and G5 use a different lens adaptor and a different set of tele and wide-angle ...

I just got a new G3 and I am new to Digital photography. I was wondering what is the best setting to use and maximize the quality of the pictures taken. I am currently using RAW setting and converting to TIFF or GIF depending on my needs (Web email etc).
