Battery Charger Question

Hi

I have 4 cameras I use for education work which run on AA Batteries. I'm
aiming to buy some decent rechargeable batteries (at least 1500mAh) but am
confused as to whether or not my current charger will be able to charge them
up to the required level.

It's a Uniross Ni-Cd & Ni-MH charger with an input of 230-50Hz 6W and the
output is 150mA 0,42VA for AAs. Sorry if I sound thick but this is
gobbledegook to me. Can anyone advise?

That should be perfectly OK.

Yes - you cannot have a charger rated too low for a battery. It will
just take longer to charge.

The rating of '230-50Hz 6W' is irrelavant - it simply tells you how much
power the charger uses.

The only rating for a charger is the '150mA' bit - that tells you how
fast it can charge.

4 cameras you use at work? Just go to a camerashop and buy a quick
charger with 4 2500 mAh batteries (or better) included. Sony, Haehnel
and Fuji should all have good offers of high quality. If you use the
cameras much, you will notice the batteries loose stamina. After a year
you might need to buy new ones. Shouldn't be that expensive.

Decent rechargable batteries are around 2700mAh now - forget the 1500s
