Kodak CX 6330 Battery Problem

This old point and shoot camera works fine with one exception: When I change
batteries, it loses the date and time settings, unless I am as fast as a
whirling dervish.

Is this indicative of my improper handling or is this a camera defect?  If
so, it would probably not be worth fixing.

Any ideas appreciated

Well, if it used to keep the date and time properly when batteries were
changed earlier, then sure, the problem is with the internal
rechargable battery (probably a button type Lithium battery) inside the
camera. Check out the manual. If it says anything about a small battery
inside the camera, then good : try changing it.
