I just bought my spouse Photoshop CS2 for her birthday. While she is no
novice to computers or cameras, she *will* be very much a novice to
Photoshop CS2. I am aware of three tutorial books: (1) Adobe's
Classroom in a Book; (2) Photoshop One-on-One (O'Reilly), and (3)
Photoshop for Dummies. Can anyone out there recommend one or t'other or
yet another, and tell me why? (Assistance very much appreciated before
I commit: her birthday is the 15th.)

as to why...
It was recommended to me. I bought it and I've found it covers everything
I've needed.
I've not felt the need to buy anything to supplement it.

See amazon for review, it gets 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I second that. Simple. Straight forward and hands on.

As a Photoshop professional, I would recommend
http://watchandlearnphotoshop.com/ a video series that is awesome and it
shows step by step how to do things. Much better than any book.

Thanks folks! I went to Borders yesterday, and I read a chapter of each
book there. Scott's was the obvious choice, as you said. Again, thanks!
