anybody recommends a lens for yellow stone national park?

I'm using a canon 350D with 17~85 IS. need a tele lens under $1000.

You have a good lens for Scenery. A 70-200/2.8 for $1,130 is a nice choice and will compliment your present lens. The 300mm IS/4 for $1150 is also a good choice. If you need more reach a 1.4 extender for $298 can be added.

i bought the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens (around $400) and
couldn't be happier... (IS stands for Image Stabization... it doesn't lock
the lens in place, but it makes it feel "sticky" on the subject and really
helps)
