I have problem when using my point and shoot on bright sunny weather,
images have washout colors and can be with grains, how can i improve
that without using filters. Camera is Panasonic LZ2, anyone with the
same problem?

Direct light makes things look 'flat', same as using flash.

I prefer cloudy weather for best colours.

as I prefer the warm light at dawn and dusk - also try shade
