I have either lost or misplaced the cable that connects my Canon Coolpix 800 to my PC. It appears that it must have been a sub-sub-miniature phone plug on one end but I do not remember what it had on the other end. It almost had to be USB, but I cannot find that cable. Would somebody please tell me if it was USB. (It might have been serial) Tnx, Charles Doesn't Coolpx = NIKON ? Connection to the PC is USB. It indicates that we are talking serial port. Now it comes back to me. My ThinkPad R40 has no serial port. The lack of serial port is the reason I bought the card reader. ... I can still use the card reader, but I fear that there is a finite number of times I can plug a card into the camera. Eventually those tiny pins will self destruct. The NIKON p/n for the pc-to-camera cable is SC-EW2. There is also a NIKON part to convert the pc-serial to Apple. Look it up on their web site. Check Adorama or B & H. THey probably don't cost that much. |
