Hi,

One of my relatives has passed away recently. He was an avid
photographer, the "old style" with his own darkroom and thousands of
dollars in equipment. I took a photo enlarger and would like to know
it's net. worth. eBay and other places came up blank and taking it to a
store would be a waste if it's worth little or nothing.

OMEGA TYPE D2 from the 1950's

P.S. Contact me @ coolred90@hotmail.com for more info or to reply.

Use 'its', not 'it's.'its' is the posssesive. 'it's' is the contraction
for 'it is'.

'Net worth' has nothing to do with the value of equipment.See:

Apparently you did not search ebay very well.  One here went $99.

So it would appear that you did not strike it rich.

Those old Omega D2 and D4 enlargers were wonderful to work with.
I prefered to use a Beseler 23CII though, for 35mm film.

However, they aren't worth much as far as money goes today, and
the shipping cost is usually a significant part of the sale
value.  Bascically everything that's needed for a darkroom is in
great supply, with few buyers today.

A D2 is a bit much for 35mm. Never cared for Beseler enlargers. During
my studio years I used (and still have) an Omega C760. I had a D2 with
a colorhead and sold it years ago.
