Good day
I am sending images to a magazine, and they have requested that they be sent
at 300 dpi. I shoot on a canon 10 D (large-fine jpeg), and I am not quite
sure as to what dpi they are sent from the camera to my computer. Using
photoshop what is the easiest to ensure that the images are saved at 300 dpi
?
Awaiting your expert answers..

Thanks
Harold

A strange request.  Probably came from someone who doesn't know what they
are talking about.

They should have asked for a file that will print 4 X 5 at 300dpi or perhaps
5 x 7 at 300dpi.

For instance,  for a 4 X 5 print at 300dpi you need a file that is 1200 X
1500 pixels.

In Photoshop you can set the DPI and save the file and when it is opened
again it will remain set to 300dpi.

With, "re sampling" turned on in Photoshop you can set the Doc. size and DPI
and the pixel dimension will change accordingly.

You magazine should have requested minimum pixel dimensions rather than
asking for a specific DPI..

If you know what size your image will be printed at, send them a file that
will print that size at a minimum of 300dpi.
