Hi,

I'm new to digital photography and am planning to spend around £300 on a new
camera. Any suggestion please?

Thanks in advance,
Jen

If you are after a point-and-shoot, the newer 5 - 7MP Sony cameras with
Zeiss lenses are pretty damn sharp.

compact or slr type ?..Nice compact sony dsc-p200..7.2 million pixels
crystal clear images for about £250.00,i used to take a fuji s602 slr type
on holiday for day work landscapes etc:,and a Kyocera 5 million pixel
compact for nights out but the sony does both the jobs and fits in my
pocket..had it 2 months now and i'm very pleased..
