Melody,

Wanted to just post a public note here thanking you for turning me
onto Picasa2.  It's a great little tool for the first dump 'n' sort
pass from the scanner or digital camera.  It's already saved me a
couple hours in the past week - first with a bunch of batch-scanned
black & whites from a friend's wedding, and on Sunday with a headshot
session.

In both cases, once the images were dumped into a drive folder, Picasa
auto-indexed them, made them easy to find, and made the initial
cut-out pass (aka the old light-table "keep/toss") mucho quick with
the client.  Tagged off the keepers and segregated them into their own
folders, and handed the workflow off to Adobe Bridge, Camera Raw, and
CS2 from there.

About the only thing I could wish for is that it were ICC-aware, but
I'm not going to quibble too much, considering the price.
