Where's the bestest place to read up on what to look for in a good lens?
Also, I think I'm needing education about lens technology beyond what I got
from Ansel's "The Camera"

Thx in advance! :)

Shall I take a look at the Ladybird "My First Camera" book? LOL ;)

Seriously though, I would like more info on this subject too. I work with
Nikon's top line lenses, and people keep telling me not to bother shelling
out so much of my hard earned cash to buy something like that for myself
(not that I could afford to anyhow!). So what's next best then is my
question..?

Certainly not Sigma's 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 as it is like a kaleidoscope!!
