I have a Gossen Super Pilot light meter.
It works ok but I have a question..that I can't figure out...
This meter has a button on the left side, when depressed the
dial locks down to the right side and the light indicator needle
locks where ever it is.
Anyone know the purpose of this meter?
Thanks.

It's a meter hold feature.
So you can take a reading from whatever angle or low level of light
and hold it until you're better able to see the meter.
