Dear all,

After purchasing my second digital camera i found myself again disappointed with the results, pictures i have taken with
a 1/5 price conventional camera seemed less vivid and sharp than my expensive new digital camera.

Out of pure frustration i sat down to analyze the problem and i believe i have found a cure, as a result i have
developed a small program called Photo Equalizer, please have a look, download the program and drop me a line if you
wish to comment on it.

The program can be found here:

www.hangsim.com/pe

Thank you,

Your demo pictures seem to be oversharpened with halos at all edge
boundaries.

Please download the software and try,

You have these several settings, the ones called soft will not show halos.
there is a trade off between these halos and sharpness of the picture.

The best thing is to try and see what suits you,

Ilan

Best thing is to use Photoshop, which provides fine control over that
setting and just about everything else.  What does your software offer
that it doesn't?

Photoshop has a much higher price tag than his software. Therefore his
has a price that more people can afford..

I use photoshop myself but others don't have the money to buy it. They
can however buy his.

So let others deside what they want..

In this case, it appears that you get what you pay for.

You can decide whatever you want, but I think the results from his
software, judging by the sample images, suck.  He's also a spammer, so
I'm afraid he's already off on the wrong foot there.  If his software
also stinks, that seems like $15 wasted, not a cheaper alternative to
better software.

Judging a book by its cover...others could probably take his software
and do wonders with it..so don't be so quick to judge..

I agree he should have posted in the photo marketplace but others have
posted for sale without complaints from you..

The cover I'm judging it by is his very own website.  Presumably he's
posting the very best images that demonstrate the very best of what his
software can do.  If that's the best it can do, I want no part of it, and my
advice to anyone else who wants to listen is to stay away from it, save a
little more money, and buy the very affordable Photoshop Elements.

Why so defensive, anyway?  It almost sounds like you're trying to say I
should shut up and not voice my opinion, after having carefully reviewed the
samples on his website.  But this being usenet and free speech and all, I'm
sure that's not what you're trying to say.  Right?

The problem is you are trying to tell others what they can and cannot
buy..
Some people are happy with a cheap program that will sharpen or
brighten up a photo. For them let them buy what they want.. They may
not want PhotoShop Elements...

I served my country and protected everybodies right to free speech but
free speech as well as our other Constitutional rights carries a price
tag. In other words freedom is not free...

Thomas Jefferson once said "Freedom of speech is the freedom to
exercise your right to keep silent"

You trampled on this persons right to offer something of his by your
rudeness.

No, I am giving my opinion.  You can buy whatever you want.  How would I
even begin to stop you?

IMO, they'd be wasting their money.  The results from this program look like
crap.

Offering a critical opinion is rudeness?  Sounds like you have a thin skin,
a bad condition to have on Usenet.  Hell, it's not even your program.  ;)
