Hi Everyone,

I am planning to start an all photography wiki, a usefull place for
novices as well as professionals.

The main content being how-to articles, news articles, discussion, lots
of usefull links to MUST visit sites and so on.
I also think it should contain group galleries, but that's for a later
date..

If anyone is interested in joining me in getting this project up and
going please contact me, the more the merrier. There is plenty to
discuss and tweak, would be glad to get any advice, comments/feedback,
input...

Just some questions:
* Will it be hosted on an ad-free site (ie. without popups and activex
"freebies")?
* Can anyone vandal the wiki, or modifications only be logged in users?

Ad Free/pop-up free..etc : Yes
I am really not interested in a bunch of ads, banners and so forth, I'd
like this place to be a clean, informative, and fun place to visit.

Only members will be able to add content and only
moderators/administrators will be able to make site changes.
Anybody can become a member as long as the content they add relates to
this project's main focus.
Non-members will be able to view/comment on most of the content.

technique for aspiring/wannabe pros please help me out...

That's really the whole point of this project. This is why I am really
hoping to get some people together and get started on it.

There are 100s of sites out there that are extremely usefull, getting
them all in a list where anyone can access them at any time is a big
part of this project.

As well as creating a Photography 101 sections with articles and so
forth.

What exactly are you looking for though?

Cool. Let us know the url, and we can sign up and contribute. What help do you
