Hello,

I have owned a Fuji Finpix s7000 for a few months and been using the
software that came with it to convert the Raw files.

Are there any other conversion programs that I could use within Photoshop 7.

Many thanks

John D

P.S. A few pics of the Northern Lights earlier this month

pics are not the greatest, I was taken by surprise and just had to point and
shoot.

Thank you for your kind words, I was gobsmacked to see such a display in
real life, a true privileged.

This one is a standalone, but it caught my attention and I think it's
worth noting, as it has a lot of neat functions, and can work in simple
mode as freeware.

The Adobe RAW plug in for Photoshop 7 if you can get hold of it.

There's little chance of that. Adobe pulled the plug on that particular
plug-in as soon as they released Photoshop CS. At the time it sold for
£99 (and whatever that was in $) It also may not have supported that
particular Fuji version of RAW (I don't know for sure).

XNVIEW & IRFANVIEW both support most flavours of RAW and are free. You
could use either program to open the files, do the initial processing
work then convert them to TIFF's before processing in Photoshop, but
that's the same as you're already doing in effect.

Many people's workflows involve passing images through more than one
application before the work on that image is complete, so I don't see it
as a problem anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised to find copies floating around the Net, and on
eBay. Of course, you'd have to check it covered the camera type.
