The last "official" Firmware release was a year ago.

There is a foreign web site that has a third party, modified, FirmWare but unless you want
trouble and want to void any warranties, I don't suggest it.

Up to date firmware is version 1.1.1
There is a "hacked" firmware version that activates a number of 10D
features on the Rebel (the difference between the two cameras is
largely programming) including ISO 3200, flash exposure compensation
and mirror lockup. I have iot installed and it works swimingly - no
sign of trouble for me. It's easily switched back as well. if
interested search "hacked firmware digital rebel" on google or search
my name on rec.photo.digital, I've posted a link in the past.

What? It's a great firmware that unlocks a lot of features that exist on
the 10D. And thousands of people use it every day (myself included) with no
problems. You can always go back to the official version if you don't like
it.

Whenever you flash any BIOS, you take a chance that something will go wrong and the cam,era
will become unusable. As I stated, performing a flash of an approved BIOS (FirmWare) will
void the warranty.
