1080 probably didn't fit on the buffer, but I think its great that it
has a 720 capability. And you get to use nikon's glass, which is
awesome. No need for a 35mm adapter, you get all the DoF you need and
hopefully full manual focus. I'm curious to see when someone compares
the quality of a consumer camcorder like the Canon HV20, HV30 with a
35mm adapter and this camera (which is really ment for still
photography).

As this discussion has gone on, it has been more and more clear:
-720 is adequate for most photogs who might want a film clip here and there.
-That this is a start, not and end. That this capability reaches 1080p
is all but certain.
