Scanning 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 negatives

I have many medium format nrgatives i woudl liek to send out to be
scanned.

Doe anyone know where I might have this done reasonably.

It might be cheaper to buy a 4050 flatbed scanner with the ability to
scan these and do it yourself.

Try Photoworks - http://www.photoworks.com/
They have done these in the past with a set up charge.
No idea if they still do them.

1) how many?
2) are you adamant about sending it out rather than doing it youself?
3) how much free time might you have for doing the job yourself?
